I've been looking at booking for our 2010 trip to WDW and was interested that Bay Lake Towers. The lovely people on the Trip Planning Boards talked about "renting points" rather than (I suppose) bookingin the regular way?

What does this mean, how does one do it, and how much would it cost for 2 weeks at BLT?

Thanks for your help?:thumbsup2

you can post on the rent/trade DVC board. I have now rented all my points out for the time being or I would have been able to help you. I think there should be some sort of explanation to what you are looking for at the beginning of the board. you need to check out how many points you need to rent. I believe the going rate is $10 a point.

Good luck in getting the holiday you are after.

MickeyFP you would need to look at what week/s you want to go,each week of the year has a certain points allocation, then look at the DVC points charts on here to give you the total amount required for your stay.IMO BLT has quite a high points requirement so depending on what you need also compare it to staying at the Contemp which is next door.
The rent/trade forum always has plenty of points available on it & as mentioned the average is approx $10/point or £7.50 if you get a UK owner (my sis is getting family discount on our SSR points!).BLT owners can book for you at 11 months from your projected check-out date & other owners at 7 months.
