Renting Points Horror Stories

I don't have one. Fortunately I have had THREE great experiences. I was just wondering if anyone has had some bad experiences.

Sorry, I can't contribute to your question, I just wanted to add that we had four wonderful experiences renting before we bought in ourselves. Gotta just love DVC people whether they rent their points or not!

I only rented once, but it worked out fine.

had to rent our 2005 points. Originally, had four different families - even really took a chance with the first one and a really quick reservation. But it all turned out well and the renters were so nice! One did cancel - well in advance and I returned all her money (50% deposit). Turned out I could bank those points for our 2006 trip!

I know renting is a little controversial but it was a lifesaver for us!
