"Renting" Points and eleven/seven month window

I am looking to rent points to be used on a reservation prior to the seven month window. Must I rent from someone having the same home resort at which I want to make the reservations?

Yes, from 11 to 7 months out only home resort points can be used to book reservations. For example, if you want to book a stay at BCV for November, you'll need someone with BCV points to make the reservation for you at this time.
