We are renting points from a DVC member for a 5 night November stay. The reservation is for myself and my wife and we will be purchasing the DDP.My stepdaughter and her baby want to come down for just 1-2 nights.

Can I add them just for a couple of nights and pay the difference?
Can we add them to the DDP just for their 2 night stay?

Under the DDP rules she will be added to the plan and have to pay for the length of your stay.

Yes, you can have the person you are renting from add her to the reservation, BUT...you will need to pay for her dining plan for the entire time of your stay. That may not be as bad as it sounds though. If you are doing the plan that gives you 1 snack, 1 counter, and 1 table a day, you can use any extra table service ones to do some of the signatures. It might be nice to have that advantage.

The member will need to add them to the reservation for you. Since your grandbaby is under 3, you won't need to pay for the dining plan for her. You'll have to pay for the dining plan for your step daughter for the entire length of the trip. And you will pay when you check in.
