Renting for a night or two? Possible?

New to renting DVC points. Is it possible to rent for just a day or two? If were looking December 2006, is this a difficult time to get? Thanks a bunch!

Yes it is certainly possible, and you are WAY ahead of the game starting your planning now. If your dates are as firmly set as your signature indicates, figure out where you want to stay and then start looking for an owner at that resort.

Early December is THE busiest season at DVC for a variety of reasons, so you'll want to make the ressies as early as you possibly can. DVC owners can make reservations at their home resort 11 months ahead of time, or at any DVC resort 7 months ahead.

If you wait until 7 months, there is a good chance there will be nothing available, so you need to rent from someone who owns at the resort you want.

When you get ready to post on the Rent/Trade Board, first go read that board's FAQ and the thread entitled "A Word to the Wise." Both have excellent info.

You will get better responses if you use a title that is specific and descriptive, like "Need BWV studio for 12/6-12/8/2006." A good thread title will attract the attention you want and weed out those who can't help you anyway.
