Renting DVC points...could we still get a bounceback?

Hi All -

We are renting points for the first time after 2 yrs of getting the 40% off at VWL. Just a quick question - will we still be eligible for a bounceback? We are looking at going again for a quick Dec. trip and VWL is not available thru DVC for Dec. So crossing fingers for a discount code......thoughts?

Yes. Both times that we have rented DVC points, there's been a bounceback offer in the room.

Sorry to say this, but based on the past few years - and going by your countdown clock - the BB you will get in 4 months will probably be to be able to book a Free Dining package a year ahead for next year's FD dates (Aug/Sept 2013). Not for any December 2012 dates

It could be different this year though! Be sure and call extension 8844 from your resort room before checking out to ask about BB's - even if you don't see a flyer

The bounceback for this December is only for one week - from the 9th through the 15th. I know because it only covers half of my dates, so I'm holding out and hoping for an AP or resident discount. I know the percentage could be lower, but if I get a percentage off for the entire trip, I may still come out ahead in the end.

When I was there in September last year, the 2011 year long bounceback flyer was in the room as well as an offer for FD that was only available for August/September of 2012. So there were two offers in the room on that trip.
