Rented a car online through Thrifty. Got a great rate. The money hasn't cleared the credit card. Do they wait till you pick it up?:confused3

Did you sign up with their Blue Chip Program? If not I have never had to give a credit card number with the reservation, I have always just presented the CC at the counter and then the charges are done.

I have used Thrifty many times and have always booked on-line without issue.

I'm trying to figure out where they asked for the credit card info????
When is the rental for????

I have never had to give the CC number on the original ressie. I currently have a ressie with Thrifty for this summer and I did not supply the CC..

Side note, you live in Texas.......Anywhere near Austin? I am looking for some info

I just called thrifty. We didnt have to add the cc info, was optional, just speeds up at the counter. Yes actually I am close to Austin. How can I help?

They won't charge your card until you actually pick up the car - I have used Thrifty at MCO twice in the past year without any issues - they are pretty efficient.

Taking the kids to Schlitterbahn WaterPark in New Braunfels this summer, shhhh... it's a surprise, they think we are going to San Diego.:rotfl:

I bought our airplane tix yesterday when Southwest 1st released and we are flying into Austin. We are 1 day ahead of our Schlitterbahn resort reservation and I am wondering if it would be worth staying a night in Austin (need hotel help) or just head to Schlitterbahn and add an extra night there.

What is the drive like? Traffic (we would leave airport at approx. 4 in the afternoon on a Wednesday) How long to Waterpark and is it flat, hilly, windy etc....

Any and all thoughts?

The kids are 8 & 17 a nice regional restaurant recomendation that is easy to get to would be nice. We are big meat eaters and would love to try something local. Does not need to be fancy, just good and plentiful

Thanks

I would stay a night in Austin. A great city! The children's museum is great. Not too sure if your DS would enjoy. My 15yr old DB does. Or just going down to 6th street and wandering around is fun.

The traffic is gonna be heavy at 4pm, rush hour. Do a city search on Austin.

Oh and on your way to New Branfeels (sp?) there is a outlet mall with a Disney outlet.

I will do as you suggest and do the city search

Thanks for the info and good luck with the wedding!
