renting car at airport vs local

So its about $300 cheaper for me to rent from enterprise at an airport which is bout 30mins away...compared to the local enterprise office.
Out of curiousity, why is it cheaper at airports to rent? Nevermind you get unlimited mileage... unlike the local.
Is there an issue with renting from an airport if you arent flying in?

The airports deal more in volume than the local agencies. They have more cars sitting around so laws of supply & demand dictate prices.
You can rent anywhere, most airports have 'access or facility fees' which is basically a fee that makes the airport money that all rental agencies who operate on airport property or send a shuttle to airport property have to pay. That is the only difference.

We always go up to our local airport to rent, rather than doing it locally. There's no issue, either. DH usually takes the bus up to the airport and drives the car to pick us up.
