Renting an ECV or wheelchair and hoppers

If I rent an ECV or wheelchair for my mother in law thorough Disney, say in MK and then hop over to Epcot the same day, do I have to repay or do you get credit in the second park??

You take your receipt to the second park, and you will get a mobility device for no additional charge the same day. This is subject to availability at the second park, but it's not normally an issue.
