Renting a stroller-should I bring a cushion/pillow?

We're going to rent a stroller from WDW, at least for our AK day. I read that they are just hard plastic, no padding.

Do you all take a pillow or blankets or something to cushion it with or does it seem comfortable enough?

This is for a 4 yr old who will be in and out but I'm hoping may nap in it at AK so we don't have to go back to the resort.

Any advice appreciated! :hippie:

We rented them for DD5 last may. I have a picnic blanket that zips into a bag for easy transport. We brought that, and DD used it daily. It was really helpful not so much for comfort as for heat control. I would try to park the stroller so the seat was shaded, but we got moved several times, resulting in direct sunlight on the hard plastic. Without our blanket, it was too hot to sit on. So my recommendation is to bring something as a barrier to the heat.

Definitely bring something for temp comfort and general comfort. I understand why those strollers have to be made that way ( easy to sanitize ) but good grief years ago we sat in one just to get the feel, horrible. After that I always feel sorry for the kids.

Can I suggest renting from Orlando stroller rentals?

U can get a city mini for a week for way cheaper than the parks. They drop them at ur hotel and pick them up when u r done

They fold super easy so r easy for the bus

They r much nicer than the park strollers

We typically brought a hoodie and a small blanket with for each kid. One used as a pillow, one as a blanket. My younger son usually used them both, but my older son rarely did. Both found the strollers as they are to be comfy. Just made it more snuggly for them to nap in.
