Hi,

I am in the midst of planning a 7 day cruise for March 2004. I am thinking that we will arrive on the Thursday night and spend 1 day at seaworld on the Friday, (my son is a huge killer whale fan and we would really like to take him there.) We would probably rent a car to get from the airport to hotel then to Seaworld the next day and any other shopping we wanted to do. We would then drive the car to the port and drop off there. has anybody done this? Which companies have the closest drops offs tothe port. On return we would probably just do a one way transfer as we will probably fly home that same day. Of course depending on the flight time we might choose to rent the car again so we could do some more sightseeing.

The best bet is probably Avis, which has an office at the Radisson in Port Canaveral, only a couple of miles from the port terminal. They allow you to rent from Orlando airport and return there without a drop-off charge. They also have a shuttle from the hotel to the port. There are other companies which have offices in the port area. Dave has them listed on his site:
