renting a car from Dollar @ Grosvenor Resort

Has anyone ever rented a Mini-Van at the Dollar Location at the Grosvenor Resort across from Downtown Disney? Do you know if they generally keep several Mini-Vans on site there? I would hate to reserve one, only to get there and there not be one! Thanks for any help.

We did a couple of years ago, but they only had the one there the day we did the pickup, we did not mind, as long as it had four wheels and enough room for our clan

Hey BWDVC how many members in your group? Did you get a good rate on you rental? When will you be renting? I have a couple of tricks i did to lower my rate, would be glad to help you out if your rate isn't great.

We are reserving a Pacifica from Grosenvor(sp?) resort. In november for two weeks. Total rental cost of $328. I did have a minvan for $378 from there for the two weeks. Is your rate compareable?

I am reserving an Intermdiate at the airport May 23-27 for $118. I then need a minivan (7 people) from May 27 to June 2 $202 (this one I am also renting from the airport...have to pick up extras on the 27). I could rent a minivan for the entire trip for $318, but I do not want to be the only driver...I want my husband to be the driver starting the 27th. I hate that they charge for extra drivers! I wanted to maybe change cars at the dollar site across from Downtown Disney...thought it would be easier, but I have never rented from there.

I was able to obtain that quote using OCVB, KISS2 & KSAD. All listed that price. Thats a few dollars cheaper then your quote. I havn't rented from Grosvenor resort but I've heard more positive responses about them then negative. They also have a free shuttle incase your not staying on that property.

I say rent this minivan for the entire trip. I'm not sure if I'm clear about the the 2nd driver aspect. I think its $8 a day w/Dollar. Maybe part way through the trip you could stop in and add somene as a 2nd driver to help save some money? Anyways, I hope I was of some help too.



As for everyone else.. use the codes above and book a lower car class. then when you get a quote, below it are "online exclusive" bump upgrades at a cheaper rate. So I was quoteing intermediate/fullsize and was able to have that coupon applied to that class, and then through the online offer get an upgrade for a few dollars more.

Are you talking about the 2 boxes at the bottom right corner that states upgrade options to the next 2 size up? When I clicked on them, I got the same regular kiss2 prices. Can you clarify what discount you are clicking on?

Huh.. I'm guessing so. They are the btm right, but the upgrade prices were cheaper then if you applied the copuon directly to the class. I did this a couple of weeks ago. So maybe prices have came down/applied across the board? Sorry if I wasn't much help.
