rental stroller and older kids

Hi - going to disney next April when my DS will be 6. He will mostly walk but I'm wondering if on the days that he's tired or it's really hot if he would fit into a rental stroller. I'm not sure what the weight capacity is for them so if anybody knows that would be great.

I rented a double and my 5 and 8 year old rode fine. Once I even rode and the 8 year old pushed-so I wouldn't worry about the weight.

I've seen some kids I would swear are teenagers in them and I've seen adults sitting in them so I think you're good to go in terms of axle strength of the disney strollers

My 40lb 7 year old used one every day of our trip last year. She was 46 inches tall. She had no problems as far as comfort was concerned, and she always had a seat for the parades.

I've seen adults sitting in them. They are extremely sturdy so if your 6yr old needs one, he shouldn't have any trouble fitting in it.

Will a single be okay for a six year old? The doubles are expensive to rent so we'd rather not have to pay out that much if we don't have to but I'm also willing to do what I have to do to make the trip smoother for him.

I think the single will be fine. We have two kids nearly the same age and we always used a double (when we didn't use our own).
