Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here and trying to get some info on the rental properties in Disney. I am planning a vacation for next September and would like to get peoples opinions on the various homes that you can rent. I have broshures for All Star Vacation Homes and Family First. I would like to know if anyone has stayed in either of these and what you thought of them. Were they just as described? Better/Worse?

Thanks for the help! You can email me if you like at gina@snip.net. Hopefully I will get back here often.

I'm a SAHM with 4 kids. Ages: 10yr., 7yr., 3yr., and 1yrs.!

Have a good one!!

Hi..lots of choices....families first has a good reputation and does lots of rentals.....Lots of bargains around, so look for nice amentities like king beds, TVs in the bedrooms, and ask for locations close to Disney, ie Emerald Island, Windsor Palms, all very close to Disney...enjoy...you will love Disney...Ted

I was beginning to get a complex. No one was answering my posts. I know us "newbies" sometimes make people a little shy.

I didn't realize that there were more. I certainly will check into the others.

Are they all vac. homes or are some hotels?

Gina

I like to use Florida Leisure for renting vacation homes. I can pick the house I like from the company's website so I know where I'm staying before I arrive. The rates are also good, better than Premier Homes, which I've also used and found to have nice homes.

I just got a great rate at Holiday Villas from Lodging.com
84.00 a night for a two bedroom condo.
It was better than the Holiday Villas site by 15.00 per night and no housekeeping fee.

I have posted several times this year about our family adventure last nov-dec in Orlando from Alaska.
I would make more comments but last time I was flamed by somebody that did not like the idea of a "good deal".

Definately look into renting a vacation home, we paid $66 a night for a 3 bedroom new house with a heated pool from FamiliesFirst
The rates were post 9/11 but are still better than anyone else. The overall experiance was absolutely the best and if we return to see WDW or the other theme parks in Orlando this next winter I would not hesitate to rebook again. We had security, privacy, no noisy neighbors at all and most of all we saved enough money compared to the $4,000 I had originally sent to Disney to stay inside the park for two weeks (I asked for a refund, got it all back) that I was able to return home with most of it and start a small business making LED flashlights.
