I have been looking at some rental coupon codes and the ones I see a seem to require a Saturday overnight.
I am annoyed because I just want to rent a couple of days mid-week?!

Any suggestions? This is for 3rd week of June.
Help!

Those coupons are the company's way of renting cars that normally go unused over the weekend. They usually don't offer any significant discounts for mid-week days but it never hurts to shop around. You might want to check the rental car codes available on MouseSavers.

Try http://www.carrentals.com/ and kayak. Try COSTCO, AAA and AARP discount codes, if you're a member.

Rental agencies generally charge business customers a premium. They offer lower rates to price sensitive leisure customers. The Saturday stay requirement weeds out many business renters.

How long will you be in Orlando? It might not be that much more to just rent a car for the entire week instead of just the couple of days you really need the car.

Thanks for the links. I have been looking at costco & bj's.

We come in late (6pm) on a Sat & want to use Magical Express to get to WDW, so that means I don't want to rent from the airport.

Apparently the car care center & the dolphin rental place will be closed already by the time we get there.

I suppose I could get Enterprise to drop us off the car?

You may get your best deal renting the car at MCO. You and your kids can take the DME bus while your DH gets the rental car. Use your DME luggage tags. You'll probably wind up getting to your resort about the same time. Going home use RAC for your luggage.

Price it out.

Alternately price picking up the car at MCO then dropping it off mid-stay near WDW.

I don't think Enteprise literally drops off the car. They usually pick you up and take you to their office where you complete the transaction. They'll probably be closed by the time you arrive at your resort.

Enterprise does not drop off cars from MCO and their local stations are closed early evening. And, Lewis is correct, they pick you up (from the stations that do that) and bring you back to the station to get your car.

I guess the fact that you don't wish to rent from the airport is why you will not be getting a good rate.

Thanks for the advice.
I'll have to compare airport vs wdw.

I have another question - if we decide to rent on property - if we return the car after hours to the Dolphin valet services, does that get charged an extra day?

Not too sure about that, you will probably need to call and ask.

If you were supposed to return the car earlier in the day then you would be charged the late fee. The receipt valet services gives you will show what time you're returning the car.

Do a search, there are both electronic & print upgrade coupon codes (sometimes double) out there for Alamo & National & probably other agencies that will work for short weekday reservations
