When is the earliest you can book a rental car? I thought it was 13 months but I guess not

I'm sure it varies from company to company. However, there is no reason to book a car that far ahead. Wait until about 90 days from your trip and book at whatever rate is available then. Once booked, continue to check the price and re-book if you see something better. I've often found a significantly better rate
offered within a couple of weeks of my trips.

we have always booked as early
as possible then i rebook if i find a better rate. We get a mini van or a large SUV and have never paid more than
$350 a week.
