Rental car or shuttle service?

My family will be spending 6 days at WDW then 3 at Lido Key Beach. Should I only rent a car for the last 3 days and rely on shuttles in Orlando? We will need to travel from the airport to the Nickhotel on the first day, then to the Beach Club the second day (early morning), and we will need to make one trip to Wilderness Lodge for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. There are great savings on rentals if I cut down the rented days. What would you do?

DEFINATELY....RENT a car! The weekly rate would probably be just as much as 3 days. We are leaving for the Disney cruise tomorrow and then to SSR for four days. We are leaving the car at the port for $10.00 a day because it's cheaper than renting one for only 4 days.
