Rental Car - LAX

First time to DL this November, before Thanksgiving (13th - 22nd). I understand that the rental car agencies at LAX are all technically off-site and you have to take a shuttle to get to them. Upon checking prices at various agencies, they all seem high right now to me. Has anybody done Priceline and have you been successful in getting the price you want? Or, when is the ideal time to book a rental car for the best price (ex. 6 weeks before trip?).

Doing the shuttle to DL is not an option for us as we have 2 disabled adult children and it is too much to keep track of them, try and get them on a bus and ride to our hotel. Plus, when you factor in the cost, might as well have a rental car available to do some things out of the parks.

Might suggest Relayrides as well. Pickup and Dropoff at airport.

For the rental agencies, in advance is best. And its worthwhile to shop around. But to keep things simple, might be better to stick to well known rental brands. Hertz, Alamo, Avis

Book if the price is doable. Then check check check! Book a rate that can be cancelled or changed so you can do those things if the rate goes down.
