Rental car from Dolphin or Car Care Center??

We're using Magical Express for our trip on Feb. 4th. We're staying at Old Key West and I currently have a reservation to rent a car that day from the National location at the Dolphin. (compact car for 3 days for $48)

I imagine that after arriving at OKW, I will take a bus to a park or Downtown Disney and from there catch a bus to the Dolphin, but I'm wondering if it might be quicker to rent from the Car Car Center location and request to be picked-up from OKW.

Any thoughts? By the way, I've checked the price and it's the same from either location, so I'm really just trying to find out which will be quicker.

If you can switch to the CCC location for your pick-up, that's what I would do--that way you can have the shuttle pick you up at your resort and skip all of the bus rides!

Do you mind sending me a PM with the codes that you used to get that rate for 3 days? Does your price include all taxes, etc? We are renting a car for 3 days (2/14-2/17) and I am paying $89 total--including taxes, etc.

I'va always picked up at the Dolphin since they are within walking/boat distance from both MGM and Epcot. Usually I'll go to the park for the morning, then walk over to the dolphin, pu my car and drive it back to the resort. The advantage being you don't have to wait for a shuttle. Just be aware the desk closes at 4pm.

I'd stick with the Dolphin, too. Just take a bus to MGM and then you can either boat or walk (faster) to the Dolphin.

IIRC, the shuttle serves all WDW resorts and both the Dolphin and the CCC. You could end up waiting just as long for the shuttle (it may make several stops before you get to your destination) as it takes to bus/boat or walk to the Dolphin.

Another option is to pick up the car on an EPCOT day. The Dolphin is less than 10 minutes (walking) from the International Gateway entrance.

we used the aaa car care center and it was great
DH was picked up by a shuttle at the resort (pop) and back before 30 min
it was quick, easy and great he said
we saved over 200 versus picking up at the airport

How do you reserve the car at the Dolphin? How far in advance, etc? We're planning 2days Universal, 1day SeaWorld during our 2nd wk in August while staying at the BCV.
Can someone please PM me the Code? Will it be good in Aug?
