Rental car drop off at different airport

I want to rent a car from the LGB Airport and return the car to the San Diego Airport during our August vacation. Which rental agencies do not charge to drop off the car at a different location? TIA

when I went through the Mousesavers links last week there was one...I believe it was National...that was offering a $20 discount if you were taking the car one way! I've never seen that before. You might check it out.

We are going one way from San Diego to John Wayne airport. We found a pretty good deal through Thrifty. They still charged us for the one way drop but it was alot less than any other rental agency.

Thanks, unfortunately there is not a Thrifty at LGB Airport.

Alamo/National does not have a drop off fee. And they do not have the same rates although they are owned by the same company. Price out the rental on each ones website and be sure to check the specials tab to see if there are any deals for one way rentals. Price out the other specials too. I did a one way last August and although there was a deal for one way, I got a better rate using a different code.

We went at Thanksgiving and rented form Alamo in Orange County. We dropped 9 days later in San Diego with no hassles. No drop charge either. And our rate was $260/9days.
Our only issue was that we didn't check where their location was in San Diego-- we went straight to the airport, NO... it's a few blocks away.
