Rental car & coupon question

I'm looking for the best deals for the end of Sept into early October. I found a coupon, typed it in and was booking it when I realized it is listed as expiring 6/30. This coupon gives me the best rate.

My question is, will they honor the price on my confirmation if the coupon did indeed expire? Should I have another car booked just in case?

I've never run into this, since most coupons say my dates are not within the time frame.

It is common for deal programs to be extended after cupons are printed.

If you have a confirmation you should expect to get the confirmed rate just as they shoule expect the sale. If they don't it could be reported to the better business bureau. I think you should be ok.
