Hi, we purchased our DVC Annual Pass last January on-line. Can't seem to find where renew on-line, just a referral to call MS. Any tips?

I don't think you can renew a discounted AP online. You can renew in person if you'll be at WDW within 30 days of your current expiration or you can call DVC for a renewal voucher or will call number. And any renewal you may order via phone would also have to be redeemed no longer than 30 days after your original expiration, as ticketing needs to see your DVC Membership card. Otherwise you'll need to pay the non-renewal rates.

So you're saying that to renew an AP you have to physically be at a location either 60 days prior or 30 days after your old pass expired? That may have me rethinking the AP.

If you won't be at the parks within 90 days of renewal, then it might be a better idea to just let it expire and buy a new one later.

You can renew DVC APs by calling MS. Since you have to give them your member number, it confirms you're DVC members so it doesn't matter when you're going to be at WDW. We just renewed ours in preparation for a Feb. trip (current ones expire early Jan.) and the new APs appeared in our MDE account shortly afterwards - so we can make our FP+ when our window opens.

Thanks for clearing this up.

We did this the other day. Our passes expired mid November, and we just renewed. I called MS, paid for the renewal. They gave me a will call number, and also linked the number to our MDE so we can start to reserve FP's at our 60 day mark.
We were told to go to guest services to get our cards to show proof of AP's for discounts. Any magicbands we currently have will work with our renewal, but not sure if we'll be receiving new bands like we did last year.
Also, when you look at your MDE account, it will show the renewal AP's with a expiration of 2030! They will change that date to the correct date when receiving your cards from Guest Services. I told them it wasn't necessary...really! The CM just laughed :)

:-( MDE already shows ours expire in 2016.

Just remember, that a renewal has the same start date as the old pass...so, once you renew, it will be valid from the same January date as the original pass, even if you don't use it until later.

I think that is why someone mentioned that if you were not going to go within that window, it may be beneficial to just buy knew vs. taking the savings on the renewal...I did that last year...we had AP's expire in May but were not going until November so I didn't renew and just bought new ones as they covered me through this November!

Its good to hear though they can be done with a phone call and immediately put into the MDE account.
