If it does look like a direct hit here I may have to delay my arrival till Sunday.
My concern is that is my leaving day. Not interested in pulling camper in the winds.
I gotta solution. Leave earlier, before the storm hits. This way you avoid having to drive in the storm and winds. And if your house is damaged you wont know until you get back home. If you know before you get here you will worry about it while your here and won't have as much fun. Kinda the same idea as "out of sight, out of mind" and "what you don't know won't hurt you".
Joking aside. Stay safe and hope you are able to still make it down here.
Today was our first park day and we did HS. It was just myself and Mom, DW is only going to do the parks a couple of times.
We decided to drive for most parks this trip. We left the site a little after 8:00 and got to HS at about 8:30. For some reason I have it listed as opening at 9:00, but it didn't open until 10:00 today so the parking booths were not open until 9:00. So we drove round for a bit and cam back just before 9:00 to get in the line. Got parked and in the park 9:30 or so.
They are doing RotR boarding groups twice a day, 10:00 and 2:00. We got group 24 at the 10:00. It was kind funny that just as we got our group, it was like a big group cheer as everyone else was getting their groups as well.
The crowds were light compared to normal times, even though I think HS was at current capacity today (and most days). The ride.wait times were about were you expect for normal. Big ticket rides over an hour, less popular ones 15-30 min.
Mom did ride RotR and loved it! She says she would ride it again.
All in all a great day. I can't wait for everyone else to get here and enjoy it. The mask requirements do take some getting used to if you are not used to wearing a mask.
