Hello! Is Remy still making appearances at Chef de France? If so, how does it work--is it like a character meal where you are sure to see him, or is it hit or miss? I know that in the past, there were certain times that he was there, and that his last time is around 5:20.

I am thinking about booking Chefs de France for an early-ish dinner, and thought I should try to coordinate with Remy if he is still showing up.

Thanks for any input!

Remy was still at Les Chefs de France in December. I haven't read on this board that he's been missing or that there are plans to remove him. However, as he is an audioanamatronic figure, he does occassionally break. So there is no gaurentee that he'll be at Les Chefs.

As for when he is there, he (and his waiter/waitress host) make the circuit of tables in the resturant. If you're not seated at your table, he does not come back. So if you're in the bathroom or still waiting to be seated when he goes by the table, you've missed out.

In December the last circuit started around 5:20 pm, so it's during dinner time. So if you want to see him, make an ADR as close to the start of the dinner period (4:40 or so). That way you should be seated (even if Les Chef is running a little behind) well before he starts making his circuit.

We used these times from the Steve Soares site and seemed accurate because we had a 1pm reservation in Dec. 2010, were seated in 5 minutes and about halfway through our meal Remy had arrived to our table.....so 1:40 seems right. And the PP is correct, Remy doesn't make 2nd rounds... He goes through once so I'd time your reservation to be 40 minutes before Remy's time in case you need to wait to be seated.

The waiter pushed a cart and lifted the lid to a dish and there was Remy. DS5 asked Remy questions... Remy squeeked and the waiter interpreted! Kind of funny. Food pretty good there too.

The times and days posted are correct. We made a reservation for 1:10p on Monday during January and Remy popped by just as we were finishing on entrees. All he does is squeak and do the same set of movements repeatedly, but he's pretty on model and amusing to watch

Thanks everyone for your help~~

And just realized that its a Monday to Saturday thing, and our Epcot day is a Sunday. D'oh!

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one[]/u] trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers make sure of this
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is close to a scheduled time, be early
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears
. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Also,
guests might be pressing their shorts and clothes against other guest's
tabletop and food (eewe, yuck, gross).
