Is there a cloth that can be used? I know I get lots of fingerprints on my pictures when I am scrapbooking. What can be used?

I usually use a clean eyeglass or camera lens polishing cloth; not sure if that is the best but it works for me!

I've read that some scrappers use microfiber dusting cloths for this.

I've never used these but here's a link to a special product for this!

CM do one as a customer gift - or did. It comes in its own little bag with a pad to put under the photo for protection

When I went to my first CM demonstration, I was told to use a cotton ball to get the fingerprints off my pics and it works really well. I use one all the time.

I would think it would leave lint and little strings all over the place? :confused3

Wouldn't a cottonball get messy to use??

I would think it would leave lint and little strings all over the place?

Nope it's not messy in any way and does not leave even a bit of lint or strings anywhere, the pictures shine up really well. I have been using cotton balls for this purpose for years now.

You can use UN-DU with an eyeglass cleaner clothe.

Un-Du also sells a PhotoCare Kit which contains a 1 oz bottle of PhotoCare Solution, a 6"x6" eyeglass type clothe & a 2.5" diameter sponge all in a little pouch. Its a bit pricey for that little bottle. I paid $7.99 years ago & still using it. Package says removes fingerprints, smudges, adhesive from photos & negatives.

THAT's what made me try the regular UN-DU since its cheaper & I've had no problems doing it for years. :thumbsup2 Even removes ink from photos.

I have never heard of Un Du here and that sounds good to know. I see you stayed at Cypress Pointe. We own a time share there.

Un-Du is a SCRAPBOOKERS BEST FRIEND!!! :) They used to advertise in every scrapping magazine years ago....not sure if they still do. Acid-free & photo safe.

You can use it to remove old photos from those magnetic albums too if you still have any left.

Does NOT leave a stain on a layout when using it to remove something. The adhesive on back of item will dry quickly allowing you to reposition it elsewhere if you want.

Don't panic, when you first apply it, the page will have a big wet spot...but it dries right up....and you will never know.

I had Xyron adhesive all over some photo edges once & it just got worse & got all over the photo & the page protector. Removed it all.

Also good for removing price stickers from glass.......

Often sold in scrapbooking aisle or stores.
Also found in hardware dept...or both.
Walmart carries it too.

It comes with a scraper tool attached to top of bottle. I tip bottle to let some liquid onto the tool, then I put my finger over the nozzle so more doesn't keep coming out while I scrape off the sticker. If I need more, just remove finger & let more un-du out. That's how I make the bottle last longer.

Odd....I googled & can't find a link to a manufacturers site. Just to TONS of reviews & stores that sell it.

Thanks so much for asking this. I have been rubbing the heck out of my pictures once they are on the page, and it doesn't work too well. I love that it can remove ink too :) I have quite a few pics that I wrote on the back with gel pen and then stacked on top of another pic before the gel was dry - what a PITA! :( I have heard of this stuff on DIY scrapbooking eons ago and forgot about it. I will definitely look for this! Thanks again!
