Look at this tread. It is infuriating to see a member renting out BWV points - 11 months from check in to someone for $9.75 per point. To add insult to injury she is renting her five studios. 4 preferred view studios and another studio room will be standard view.
One of the reasons people buy into BWV and not another DVC resort is so that they can reserve the Standard View rooms at 11 months. These rooms are hard to come by and the cavelier way they are bartered for $9.75 a point makes me crazy. I want to scream when I see posts rented at 11 months, like these are, for less than they are actually worth. Do these members do any arithmetic at all. Their buy in fees, plus the maintenance fees, plus the cost of lost revenue on investment, is way more than $9.75 a point PLUS I resent her renting out standard view rooms 11 months ahead of time.

Something has been edited- but in that thread it did say they were renting pts. multiple BWV studios at 9.75 at 11 months.

I think you should either play the "I want more money for my rentals" card or the "renters are gobbling up all the choice reservations" card. You can't play them both.

And no this doesn't drive me crazy. The way to avoid that is to avoid the Rent/Trade board. I have no pity on folks who are complaining about not making enough money or being undercut.

I do feel sorry for those who don't get what they want because of the renters, but the way to avoid torturing yourself about that is to avoide the rent/trade board. What you don't know in this case probably won't hurt you!

No problem. The way this thread was going it might have been closed anyway.

I agree with CarolA. I didn't like the way things were done on the Rent/Tade baord so I didn't use it. You know what, I don't even go there to look. People might be getting $15 for all I know.
