Removal from the boards

Hi:
I need to find out how I can remove myself from the boards. My wife and I now share the same e-mail and she is the one who does the posting. Since we can't both have the same e-mail - how do I get myself removed.

You can't remove yourself. However, you can change the email in the current name and then she can create her own account with your email. Hope that makes sense.

I'm a bit confused. She is already a member of the disboards and since we only have the one e-mail so I'm not quite sure what you mean because when she trys to change her e-mail to our e-mail it tells her she can't because that e-mail is already being used. Can you help me out? Thank you.

You need to change your email first to something else. You can use an old email address or work address or anything else-doesn't have to be an active address. Then she can put the email on to her account, BUT she needs to still have access to the email that is currently on her account. She will have to confirm the change from an email that will be sent to the current address.

Also when you change your address you will be sent an email to the current account to confirm the change. If you confirm it then your account will still be active, but if you have an address that isn't active or valid on it you won't be able to receive any emails for notices of PM's and threads. But you can still post on the DIS.

In the future if you have another email address you want to put the account under you will have to go through support to do that since you won't be able to confirm the change.
