reminder/warning--airlines change flights w/o notice!

I was very happy with AirTran----the flight times had changed and they called me about 3 weeks before to let me know. I then asked to have the info e-mailed to me and they did that also. I thought the whole thing worked out very well and was very organized. It was nice to be able to see a layout of the plane and pick my own seats and know that when I got to the airport my seats were already tagged with our names on it.

From some of the horror stories I've read on the internet about seats not being together, flights being changed without contact, etc---I thought the whole process was very easy and without complication.

Spirit just did this to me twice !!! I didn't mind the change from 4:30 to 6:45 coming home from WDW - gives me a longer day there - but sis isn't thrilled about DNeph getting to bed so late and having to get up early for school the next day.

But then they changed flight return from Myrtle Beach from Noon to 6PM for trip with DH. That's a HUGE change - we expected to land at 2Pm, now don't get in until 8PM! I tried to get flight home the day earlier since we needed to be home by the scheduled 2PM to pick DS up from school, but that flight is already sold out! - What a pain this is !!!

Just check my flight for the end of May with AirTrans and our return flight had changed to a later departing time by 2 hrs. Thanks for the reminder. I'll keep checking just in case.

It happend to me on US AIRWAYS...I checked my flight only after my friend called to say her flight had been changed (she was on a different day), they did not notify me for about 2 more months or about 1 month out of our trip.
