Remembering to Post on the Right DIS VMK Board - Please Read

This does not apply to certain individuals, but goes out to everyone since everyone is bound to make this mistake at least once eventually.

Lately I've been noticing that threads have been in the wrong DIS VMK boards lately. I've seen things that should be in the community board that were posted on the design board, and things that should be posted on the main board posted on the community board. And this goes for just about every case. Not only does this make it more difficult for people to find what they want to read, but it also makes it more difficult for the poster if any questions or things that people should see are enclosed in it.

PLEASE - Before you post a thread, please consider if it's being put up in the right place. It really bugs me when I want to see room designs, but have to go to the wrong place to see it. Also, for those people that have questions - they'll be answered ten times faster on the main board than on the community board.

We have 4 boards.

The Main Board - Post news, events, or questions about VMK
The Creation Board - Post up your games, rooms, quests, or designs that you made
The VMK Community Board - A place for VMKers to relax and post about things not or slightly related to VMK, but not enough related to be on the main board.
The Trading Board - A place to put your wishlists, trades, or items your trading.

If you cant tell where to post it, consider these things:

1) Does this have to do with VMK events or news? (post on main board)
2) Does this include a creation/game/room I made in VMK? (post on creation board)
3) Does this have little or nothing to do with VMK, but I want to share it with my VMK friends? (post on VMK community board)
4) Does this include a trade I would like to make or a wishlist of items I would like to have? (post on trading board)

Of course, there are many more questions to ask yourself, and there's always exceptions.

Let's test out the questions on this thread.
1) No, Not related to VMK.
2) No, Not about something I made.
3) Yes, this has nothing to do with VMK.
4) No, I am not trading anything with this thread.

So this thread goes rightfully in the VMK community board.

It's just really been bugging me to see so many threads in the wrong spots. Some of them on the main board are moved to the community board when appropiate, but I rarely see anything moved out of the community board or design board.

Please consider this for everyone's sake of finding what they want to read. So please, don't ask people about your room on the main board. We have the other boards for a reason - to be used. So let's use them for the right reasons!

I'm not a moderator asking for this, but I am an individual that likes to have things organized and gets irritated when things aren't. Please don't irritate me (and at least not intentionally!)

VMK Creations

VMK Community Board
A place for all VMK players to kick back, relax and have fun with other VMK Players


Players Quests and rooms open for rides, games etc. should be posted on the Main VMK board. Pictures of Rooms you have created and just want to show off should be posted on the Creations Board.


I hope that clears it up for you and everyone else.
Also if you see a thread that you feel needs moving then please use the report post/thread option, it is there to be used, one of the Moderators will take care of it as need be.


Also just because there is no redirects does not mean nothing has been moved, edited or deleted.

I liked it better when there was one board. I could find everything with no trouble. I forget to read the non-main boards 99% of the time.
