Hi Leslie,
You and Marc will staying at the Poly.....we just stayed there for my DH's 40th bday...
We stayed in Fiji....first floor room. We faced the Marina....which we found quite considering guests are renting Sea Racers, and the kid's Pirate cruise left from there, etc. We were near the luau building, but with the TV on we didn't hear anything...with no TV you can hear some drumming...but it's not constant...didn't stop us from napping!
It was a short walk to Captain Cook's and the Volcano pool...the 'quiet pool' was a little further, we went to that pool most of the time since it was less crowded.
Don't forget to watch the 'torch lighting' ceramony in the main lobby (you end up outside the main entrance for part of the show) at 6pm - it's cool to see.
The upstairs gift shop had good snacks and large bottles of water...the down stairs gift shop has some cute clothes and accessories...
If you have any questions, feel free to ask....
