Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

My favorite bread would also be Kona's bread. YUM YUM YUM!!!

My favorite entree is the Tuna Oscar at Kona. :droools uncontrollably:

I think that would be hubby's favorite entree as well with the fried chicken at 50s Prime Time being second. Funnily enough, he didn't order either of them but was very glad I got full so he could have some of mine!

Games on FB can be such a mindless escape!!!! I have been addicted to Family Feud....luckily they only let you play one to two games a day ;)

Favorite bread.....I too would have to say the pretzel bread at LC...when dipped in the soup of course ;) The Wave has good bread too and I really like the butter with chili pepper salt.
Favorite entree of the moment :rotfl2: would be the filet and mac and cheese at Jiko....although as C said the fettucine at Alfredo's...oh how I miss thee :sad1:
Enjoy your Sunday and looking forward to your costume update! :goodvibes

I am so, so, so excited for you guys! I LOVE that you upgraded to Poly! I love it there! DH and I stayed there last year when we went on our anniversary trip! I too would love Poly DVC! I can dream, can't I?!

DH and I stayed in Tahiti, we had MK view! It was fabulous! Tahiti is a long walk from the Grand Ceremonial House but the grands are so peaceful and beautiful it's sooooo enjoyable and relaxing! We found that from our room it was a lot easier to walk to TTC unless we needed to go to the lobby for something!

One little tip I have is that you can get 2 famous disney food items in Capt Cooks! Tonga Toast and a Dole Whip! The Tonga Toast is cheaper then it is at Kona, I believe!

I definitely think you need some more Poly pics to hold you over the next few weeks!

So here goes...

Our view...

TTC from our room...

Room...

The rooms at poly are HUGE!

Night view...

I LOVED the Tiki torches!

More to come ;)

19 more days until vacation!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3: It will just FLY by with all you've got going on! You can do it...hang in there!! Can't wait to see the pics of your MNSSHP stuff!!:goodvibes

The POLY?! wow...I would have NEVER guessed that! (Glad I didn't end up guessing..I couldn't pick just one anyway! :yay:)

Wow wow wow....how cool is that! And that it coincides with the Halloween party! So cool! Does Mark know? I got so excited, I skipped that little detail...if not, he will be stoked when he finds out! :thumbsup2

You can do it!!! You can make it to your vacation!!! Seeing your countdown makes it seem awfully close! :goodvibes

Best bread: I have to agree -- the bread at Kona is out of this world delicious!!!

Best entree: now that's a little harder for me to pin down. I think it would depend on my mood, but I am going to say either the shrimp from Teppan Edo, the cannelloni from Tutto Italia, or the Cobb Salad (yes, I am going to claim it as an entree) from Brown Derby.

So sad they took the salmon polenta off the menu :(.

Can't wait to see Marc's shirt for MNSSHP!

This is a tough one! I don't really remember many breads from our meals...ooooh, I pick the French Toast Loaf from Main Street Bakery. Close enough, right? ;)

Which rests in peace with your Salmon Polenta.

<moment of silence>

My favorite entree so far is the Boma Breakfast Buffet. :rotfl: I LOVE IT. Looooooove. :lovestruc

I'm looking forward to seeing your costumes! The bowling shirt sounds fabulous!

The Poly... we go away and I miss the big news! How awesome to end your stay there! We love to explore and enjoyed our swim after Kona there this June before beaching it for the evening festivities!

I"m out for this one, Leslie.... I'm not a big bread eater, and just don't pay attention.

LL, You are going to LOVE the Poly! I didn't catch what room category you booked. When I stayed there, we had TPV (theme park view) which was incredible. Watching Wishes from your private balcony can't be beat. The only downside was that our building was too far away to hear the music being played at the beach. It's so convenient having the monorail right outside your door. Be careful though, especially if you have an early morning reservation somewhere. A lot of the time the monorail doesn't start running until 8am (depending on EMH). I'm so excited for you!

Post those pictures of the halloween costumes! I'm anxious to see them :goodvibes

Your getting so close to your trip! Woo Hoo! :woohoo:

I don't know if I can distinguish the breads at the restaurants enough to make a good choice. I'd probably have to say either the bread at Ohana or the bread at Citricos.

Best entre is tough. I'm thinking either the filet with the quatrofromaggi potatos at Citricos or the Cobb salad at the Brown Derby. It all depends on my mood. :thumbsup2

Great idea about the bowling shirt! Sounds like you two are going to look great together at the party.

The only bread that really sticks out to me right now are the ones from Le Cellier, so I'll go with those. The sweetbread from Kona looks great though. I've only eaten there at breakfast so I've never had it.

From the past year (since trying to pick a favorite of all time would be too difficult), I think my favorite entre was the Tempura Shrimp from Yak & Yetti. Very delicious!

WOOT WOOT!! 19 days until vacation you are so close!!! Of course 24 until Disney....but it's coming!!!!!

OOOH Disney food!! I adore Disney food!!!!! As far as best bread, the rolls at Brown Derby get my vote!! They are small warm mounds of heavenly goodness!!!

Best Entree...hmmmm I adore the fish and chips at Rose and Crown!! That is one of my favorite restaurants of all time!!!!

Another great countdown!!!! WOOT WOOT!!

I'm not going to point fingers (YOU!!) have me addicted to Frontierville, do you know how much I have to be getting done in my new house LOL!!!!!
I told you that in one of the books I was reading that one fo the characters said, "Woot Woot" right? It made me laugh and laugh and think of you.

I do enjoy the Brown Derby rolls but Kona is above them, have you had that yet?

Those fish n' chips are amazing, I can't to eat them again!!

I will not lie, I played Frontierville this morning before I went to work. :rolleyes1

24 days. I know it doesn't feel like it now but it is going to FLY by! Hope you have fun getting things organized/ready today! :)

Favorite bread and/or entree. Hmmm... I don't know. I do like the pretzel bread at Le Cellier (dipped in cheddar soup, of course). I think I remember good rolls at Yachtsman.

As for favorite entree I don't know if I can pick. Going WAY back, I adored the fettucini at Alfredo's.
I was cruising the DIS this morning and gasped out loud when I saw 23 days on my ticker. I don't know why but it took me by surprise and it made it feel like my trip was so close. I don't think one day makes a huge difference but for some reason it's put me in a great mood today.

I wish I had gotten to try Alfredo's...I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Can I be a rabble rouser? I want my favorite bread to be the cinnamon roll from the Main St Bakery. It's a bread right? :lmao:

Honestly, I can't remember a favorite bread in particular...which is funny because I'm so carb focused!

And favorite entree? Honestly? I have to pick one...that's like asking me to choose between my children, it's just impossible! :lmao:

Can't wait to see the shirt for Marc, I'll be it looks awesome.
Rabble rouse away! It is bread, I will allow that answer...it is my PTR after all. ;)

The shirt does look awesome. :thumbsup2

I have a story about the Tuna from Kona coming up in the countdown...just you wait.

I think the butter makes the Kona bread, what do yout hink?

:goodvibes

Tracy
The pretzel bread is a close second for me I think. I really need to get over to Jiko, that is one ADR I keep wanting to make and something keeps happening to cancel it.

I'm hoping to do the costume update tonight...if I can tear myself away from Frontierville. :upsidedow

Yayayaya! I love the pictures, thank you so much. For right now, I am not going to request a certain section, I think I am just going to take what we get. Though I'd love to have a balcony to relax on.

19 more days until vacation!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3: It will just FLY by with all you've got going on! You can do it...hang in there!! Can't wait to see the pics of your MNSSHP stuff!!:goodvibes
WOO HOO!! I am so very ready to be on a break from work. Besides my week recovery from my surgery in April, I haven't had a vacation since January.

The POLY?! wow...I would have NEVER guessed that!

:thumbsup2
I thought it would be harder to guess. Marc does know and he is SUPER excited!!

It does...today. Yesterday, it felt like a million miles away.

You are allowed to claim the Cobb Salad as an entree, it's big enough for entree size!!

I'm still sad about the Salmon Polenta. :sad1:

This is a tough one! I don't really remember many breads from our meals...ooooh, I pick the French Toast Loaf from Main Street Bakery. Close enough, right? ;)

I'm so excited we have a few days there at the end of the trip, it is going to be so very relaxing.

No worries!

We just have the plain ol' garden view, that or Club Level were available when I booked, CL is a little pricey!! Hopefully I will post the pictures tonight, we might not be in them but you can at least see the costumes themselves.

Your getting so close to your trip! Woo Hoo! :woohoo:

I don't know if I can distinguish the breads at the restaurants enough to make a good choice. I'd probably have to say either the bread at Ohana or the bread at Citricos.

WOO HOO!! All good choices for bread and entrees. :thumbsup2

The tempura shrimp from Y&Y does look delicious. :thumbsup2

23 Days!

I'm in a much better mood today.

I never posted the Halloween pictures yesterday because I never took them. I had a mini meltdown.

After I posted my update yesterday, I cleaned the house a bit, did some laundry and then attempted to make my 2 tshirts. If you remember they were the Tiana applique and the Ariel bling.

I ruined BOTH of them. Ugh. The Tiana one was my fault, I used too high of heat and she wouldn't bond to the tshirt. The Ariel one was not my fault, I followed the directions perfectly and none of the red beads will stick to the shirt. I'm so annoyed. At least the Tiana shirt, I can still wear. The tshirt from the Ariel Bling has beads on it, a lovely seashell bra and her face, no hair.

I'm annoyed but I'm letting it go. I don't care, I don't want to make any tshirts. I have a bunch of wonderful tshirts that I will be able to wear and that is that. :thumbsup2

I do plan to take pictures of one very special tshirt that I had made and our costumes tonight. :thumbsup2

Now to the countdown.

Favorite Animatronic!

I love this favorite, I think it's a good one.

Marc - The Pirate surrounded by pigs on POTC.

3866133541_b772355c3a.jpg

I am pretty sure it has changed from this picture but it's the only one I can find online. TK, Tink...help! You are my pirate experts. If I remember correctly, I think the pirate is surrounded by pigs and cats now. Or am I combining two different pirates in my head?

Leslie - Two Brothers scene from American Adventure.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2552.jpg

I thought I had a better picture of this. For those of you who haven't seen this, it's about Two Brothers (DUH!), one fights for the North and the other the South during the Civil War. They are having a family portrait taken for their Mother's birthday and they start fighting. It's so moving to me. Then there is a wonderful song entitled...YOU GUESSED IT....Two Brothers. Google it, I bet it's on YouTube.

What is your favorite Animatronic at Disney World?

My favorite animitronic is the Wicked Witch of the West on the Great Movie Ride. It freaks me out how much that looks exactly like Margaret Hamilton. After all these years the wicked witch still scares the bejeesus out of me. When I was a kid I couldn't watch the part where she has Dorothy locked up with the big hourglass.:scared1:

No shocker that my favorite animatronic is Jack Sparrow. :lmao:

I'm almost positive that pirate looks different...I'll need to do some research! :thumbsup2
