Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Ok. So, it's been, like, 3 weeks since I've been on your thread.

I estimate I've missed at least 47 updates. ;)

And I KNOW I've missed date changes. Kat kindly informed me of that. LOL

So, I'm going to try to go back and quickly get a synopsis of WHAT is going on, WHERE it's going on, and WHEN it's going on. It sounds like our trips may be like two ships passing in the night.

If by passing in the night you mean roughly a week apart.

Hoping to quickly catch up and haul myself back up on the LL bandwagon.

:flower3:

I completely agree with you on the favorite parade! Mine is Spectro as well! :goodvibes
I just love Spectro, it puts a smile on my face.

Ahhh, Spectro!!! :cloud9: I think it is my favorite, but I REALLY enjoyed the "Once Upon a Christmastime" parade as well. It's a close second.

For the contest...
Part A: Grand Floridian Cafe, Tusker House, Kona, Liberty Tree Tavern, Les Chefs.

Part B: One

Bonus: LeCellier

We'll see how I do there. :lmao:

That sounds like a good plan to me!!

Yes, they did. :sad2: I miss that too.
Guesses have been noted. :thumbsup2

Hi Leslie!!

Here are my guesses:

A) Yak and Yeti, Rose and Crown, Les Chefs, Crystal Palace, and Brown Derby

B) 2 changes

and add on: Kona
Guesses noted. I'm going to try to compile all of them today sometime.

Oh, favorite parade..... well I haven't seen any of the parades all the way through, but on my very first visit when I took the girls (2007) the 3 o'clock parade was running when we came out of Tony's Town Square, after eating lunch. I was so overwhelmed with being in Disney with my girls that I got misty eyed (yes I'm a sap) :rolleyes1. So for sentimentality I'd say that's my favorite. (Did ya like the book?) :rotfl:
Now on to the contest:
A. Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Kona Cafe, Hollywood Brown Derby and Rose and Crown
B. three
C. Jiko
I loved your book! :lmao:

I think the Electrical Parade might be my favorite one they have currently. Either that or Celebrate A Dream Come True.

As for the contest, I'll give it a try, but I can't promise that I won't be confusing the ADRs from this PTR and your other one.

Part A: Kona Cafe, Liberty Tree, Brown Derby, Rose and Crown, Plaza Restaurant

Part B: I'm thinking 1

Bonus: Yak & Yeti
:lmao: I know, I'm very confusing all around. Heck, I confuse myself half the time. :rotfl2:

I'm so glad TK has kept you up to date with my date changes, I think there may be have been 2 since you've been around these parts. :lmao:

42 Days!

Snack Most Looking Forward To Eating:

Marc - Turkey Leg.
andrew-zimmern-at-disney-world-249053392.jpg

Marc loves Andrew Zimmerman so I thought this picture was a good fit. I can't stand his show, he eats the CRAZIEST things. *Shudder*. Marc also wanted me to tell you he has never had one but he really really wants to try one of these Turkey Legs. I think he just wants to channel his inner Fred Flinstone. ;)

Leslie - Do I even have to tell you? Cream Cheese Pretzel with a Slushie Coke!

Honey.

In three weeks you've posted:

THIRTY PAGES. That's how far behind I was.

And TWO date changes.

But who's counting? ;)

And here are my favs:

Fav live show: Indy
Fav parade: Spectro
Fav ride narration: Spaceship Earth
Fav snack: Dole Whip Float

:flower3:

Turkey legs. Really? That Andrew Z is going to be at F&W while I'm there. I don't think I've ever seen his shows. Is he on Food Network?

But I am SO with you both on looking forward to favorite snacks. If you two are in line for your turkey leg and pretzel respectively that is two fewer ppl in line for my ice cream sandwich at the bakery. Or the waffle at Sleepy Hollow. Or some popcorn. Or a Dole Whip. Or some fries... :rolleyes1

Oh, LL and Brook - don't take this to the bank, but I believe I've heard that "Tom Morrow" is back in the TTA narration. :thumbsup2

42 days. Wow! It's practically around the corner. When do the suitcases come out?? :upsidedow

:rolleyes1 I clearly have issues with Date Changing. :rotfl2:

No guesses for the contest?

Andrew Zimmerman's show is on Travel Channel, it's called Bizarre Foods. He goes around all over the world eating crazy things. Marc really wants to catch him at F&W some year, he's been there a couple of years in a row now I think.

I'm not crazy about the Turkey Leg. It just doesn't do it for me, I'm not a huge fan of turkey to begin with.

I do want to try that waffle at Sleepy Hollow, I always forget about that!

Snacks are one of my favorite things about Disney!!! I have no doubt I could subsist on snacks alone there. Unfortunately, my husband prescribes to the "must have a real dinner" school of thought.

Favorite snack for me would have to be a Mickey bar or a Dole Whip or a Frozen Chai (my new favorite discovered on this trip). :thumbsup2

Marc cracks me up that he wants to try one of those turkey legs. Someone was gnawing on one while we were waiting on MSEP to start, and it was kind of gross seeing them tear the flesh from the leg. :rotfl2:

Cream cheese pretzels!!! :cloud9:

Isn't Disney food the best!! So many wonderful things to choose from!!!!

Phillip had the turkey leg the one time we went to Disney and looked like a caveman eating it LOL! Make sure to take a pic of Marc when he eats his!!!

Hmmmm...cream cheese pretzel and frozen coke...what a wonderful combination! So yummy!!!

Although one of my top faves at Disney is that Frozen Chai (someone on the DIS said its like Christmas in a cup and they weren't kidding)!! I love it!!! Although I have to say the Main Street Confectionary fudge comes in a very close second!!

YAY for being at 42 Days!!!

I'm trying to get over that "real dinner" mentality. For the ADRs we do have planned, we are really looking at getting more appetizers than entrees.

It is really gross. The thing about it is that he probably won't even eat half with the way he eat now, but whatever. It's his snack. At least he'll help me eat the cream cheese pretzel. ;)

It totally is Christmas in a Cup. Ick. Glad you like it though! :rotfl2:

Please tell me you have a picture of Phillip eating his caveman turkey leg!!??

I really need to have some fudge this trip!

I really like the appetizers rather than entrees idea! Charles and I almost got into an argument on our DHS night because I wanted to eat ice cream, and he wanted dinner. I finally gave up and we went to Pizza Planet.

Oh, well, Marc will be sure to enjoy his turkey meat.

I think I just might, I will have to go find it!!

I have a very sad fudge story to share with you at some point!! Let's just a disaster of monumentous proportions occurred in May...I'm still grieving over it!!!! Maybe you can send me some fudge in the mail?? LOL!

We'll see how it goes. Marc is much better at ordering within our band means, me, my eyes are STILL bigger than my stomach. :rotfl2: I'm trying to see it from a financial point of view though, I don't want to waste money on food that we can take for leftovers.

Ooooh, I hope you find it!!

:rotfl2: I don't think your fudge would travel very well!

Speaking of a financial standpoint -- I totaled up all of our receipts from our trip, and we saved so much money by not doing the dining plan! We just eat differently than what the dining plan offers. With all the tips and alcoholic drinks and appetizers included, we only spent $1000 on ALL of our food the entire week (remember we are a family of four). The dining plan alone (with no tips, appetizers, or drinks) would have been $940. I was quite pleased. I was really afraid I was going to wish we had done the dining plan in retrospect.

I am so happy for you!! I was wondering if it would turn out in your favor with no dining plan. I just love the flexibility of ordering whatever you want. It makes it so less stressful for me. Especially since I start ordering those appetizers OOP when I'm on the dining plan.

I also like the idea of being able to order whatever you want! You can often make an entire meal out of Disney appetitizers anyways, they are a good size. And sometimes I find something more appealing to me on the appetizer menu instead of the entree one!!!

We are cream cheese pretzel soulmates, Girlie!!! Maybe THAT should be our Meet??!!! Ok, I confess, I've never had one, but they sound like they are to die for, and are actually one of my top snack choices I"ve listed on my PTR!!

Now, for ones I've had: it'd have to be Dole Whip Float. Heaven in a cup!

Spectro is definately my favorite parade too!
Ride narration: Haunted Mansion and old TTA. Its a tie.
Snack: Plain old pretzel for me!

My guesses:
A) Artist Point, Crystal Palace, Brown Derby, Teppan Edo, Le Cellier
B) 2
C) California Grill
