So tell me exactly how to get these pins to trade.. what is the best way? I know the girls would like to do that more....

Hey! I can answer this one! Just go on Ebay and search Disney pins, and you can find sellers who will sell you "lots" of pins -- I just ordered 10, and with shipping it was 11.98. Five each for my guys was enough last time and should be this time again. Really reasonable because then they can get others without you worrying they are "trading" the pins you bought for $10.00 or more, each! The seller I used allows you to pick how many you want. :thumbsup2

Hey, LL! I like your Tshirt! I think the three mickey heads would be cute. I also like the skirt! Well I am sure you will find plenty of things to wear from what you have ordered -- Once you try it all out, I bet it will be nice to have a few seasonal items to work into your wardrobe. :thumbsup2

So sorry about the car, that is really a pain!:headache:

Your itinerary is really shaping up -- that breakfast at WPE also looks FABULOUS!!!!!

So sorry about the jerks you had to deal with -- especially when you were dealing with that on top of having your stuff locked in your car :headache:

The shirt is SO cute. Marc's reaction reminds me of what Charles's (the B/F) reaction would be. I don't think it's silly at all! The skirt is really, really cute, too -- very cute and summery. I love longer, flowy skirts but I only seem to have one...

I love that "no standing" (or "no dancing" -- either way) pin! I've never seen that one before.

I see a couple there I wouldn't mind getting my hands on :scratchin

What about fellow DISers. Would I be excluded?

Ditto! Ever since I knew it was random, I had no desire to ride it.
Of course I'd trade with DISers. I'm not good at approaching strangers though in regards to pin trading. :rotfl2:

The shirt is adorable!
Your plans look great. Building in rest time is so important. You'll enjoy the parks much more if you're not tired.
I really love my shirt, I think it turned out really cute.

I vote for you doing this for Marc. You could squeal and he could laugh at you and it would be a great ride for both of you. :yay: All you have to do is play a mind game with yourself. Give yourself a high number of drops - something more than what you know it will be, and then when you are still counting drops, it's all over! :cool1:
He'll get enough squeals out of me on Big Thunder Mountain. :rotfl2: My mother still laughs at me from when we rode it together last year.

I used to have dreams when I was little of the falling, falling, falling sensation and I have never gotten over it. I don't even think I can handle Expedition Everest. The only reason I go on BTMRR and Space Mountain is because I was forced to do it as a child so I know I won't die...I'm not brave enough to try new rides. :rotfl:

I think that shirt is super cute!!
I would make one with the three Mickey heads!
You HAVE to show us the Ariel one when you do it! It sounds really cute!
You won't EVER get me on TOT. No way no how! I'd rather do RnRC.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the gas station dude and police. People are so rude for no good reason. Jeez. I went to college in MA and I understand why you'd want to go back to Maine. Bit of a different attitude. ;)
I think I am going to make one with three Mickey Heads...just not sure what fabric I want to use yet.

You won't see me on RnRC either. :rotfl2:

There are some good points about MA, like Marc but I just don't like it here. I want to be close to my parents and yesterday just reinforced that want to the max.

Oh, what a horrible way to start your day with locking your keys in the car! :(

Love the shirt! Very cute! I like the idea of one with three different Mickey heads on it!

I also really like the skirt!

The "no standing" pin is one I haven't seen before -- I like it!

I can't say anything about your decision not to ride Tower of Terror -- you know I am the same way! ;)
Let me tell you, Jackie. It was not my finest moment. Thank goodness I could call Jen and freak out after everything was over. Sigh.

I love my shirt and the skirt is growing on me everytime I walk by where it is hanging. It's actually hanging near a darker purple shirt and it looks nice together so I might drop the idea of a white tee and wear the purple one.

I love the "no standing" pin, I haven't seen that one before. I'm a little bummed that I didn't get any of those Finding Nemo ones in the little plastic bags like in the movie.

I buy my pin lots from Ebay. I generally buy them from the sellers that let you pick. I usually buy them for around $1.10 or so. Most of the time you can find free shipping too. You just pick how many you want and buy them. I've always had good luck on ebay. :thumbsup2

See, what she said! :thumbsup2:lmao:

Thank you! It's funny, I'm not usually a skirt person but I've already bought two this summer.

The car was so not fun, then I went to get a spare key made and they didn't have the right one so I think I'm going to have to go to a dealer. Oy.

Yeah, I literally only had my debit card. Everything else was locked in my car. I felt like such an idiot and it was before 6am. Ugh.

Yeah, Marc's reaction wasn't great but then again he just doesn't get my Disneymania all the time. :rotfl2:

Good Morning, Leslie! Just wanted to say that I think that skirt is simply adorable!

OK, why did I never think of getting my sunscreen in small bottles??!! What a brilliant idea! Calling my mom now, to make sure she does it this way.

Maybe going into DHS alone is a good idea. You can get a head start on your very favorite things AND let Marc get a little extra shut eye. :goodvibes

WOW! Your shirt came out GREAT! I am off to my first sewing lesson tomorrow...hope to figure out the whole applique thing too! OH I also love your pins. I would love the cinderella teacup one :goodvibes Sorry about your car...stinks!

Thanks on the skirt. I really love it. I think it will be a great Animal Kingdom outfit. :thumbsup2

I like having some sunscreen in my park bag. There is nothing worse than a sunburn on your face. Ouch.

We are going to have a late dinner at Jiko the night before and Marc says that he'll get up for rope drop but I don't want him to be exhausted since it will probably be a longish day at DHS. We'll see when the time comes. :thumbsup2

This applique had no sewing involved, I know that you can make them with sewing but I just did the iron on route. I am amazed at how easy it was. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I don't know why AK is so stinkin' hot!!!! The skirt will be very nice! But really, our hottest day by far was at DHS! It's like the Gobi desert out there with ZERO shade to be found. I think they do it so you are FORCED into the money sucking, black hole, dump shops-

which isn't always a bad thing, right?? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hmmm...I don't remember the heat in DHS. I'm always miserable in AK and Epcot. Epcot is like a pavement jungle. :rotfl2:

Dump shops = :rotfl2:

Where/What is that? I feel like a bad DISer. :rolleyes1

It's the new tequila bar inside the Mexico Pavilion. But don't let that scare you off. They have a ton of great looking appetizers and lots of other stuff besides margharitas. I for one CANNOT wait to try the crab tostadas that lots of people are raving about. It looks quiet and tucked away- a nice place to catch up on TR notes and just be in A/C for a while. I'm actually thinking of doing a lunch in here, since the outside CS is closed for refurb. I confess, I will likely try a flavored adult bev. too. ;)

Ooooh, I'm going to have to look into that! Sounds very nice. Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

One good thing about changing our dates...yet again...is that we are already at 90 days!!:dance3::woohoo::dance3::banana:

Where in Disney?

90 Day List: Things I want to enjoy at Riverside.
*Stay in the Mansion Section.
I'm going to be really sad if my room request is not honored. :guilty:

*Enjoy a Pina Colava at Muddy Rivers the poolside bar.
BACARDI RAZZ Rum blended with Piña Colada Mix and Raspberry Purée

*Enjoy a Lave Smoothie at Muddy Rivers because I'm cheap and it's almost 1/2 the cost of the alcoholic version.
Raspberry Purée blended with Piña Colada Mix

*Swim, Swim and Swim some more.
PortOrleans-0101-Oct2007.jpg

*Night Swims whenever possible.
PortOrleans-0121-May2006.jpg

PortOrleans-0096-Oct2007.jpg

*Shop & Pin Trade at Fulton's General Store.
PortOrleans-0154-May2006.jpg

This is my favorite gift shop that I've been in at the Resorts so far. I also loved the giant pin board they have that you can pin trade from.

*Boat Ride to Downtown Disney as often as possible.
PortOrleans-0056-May2005.jpg

*Take a lot of pictures of the grounds.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2362.jpg

*Take a dip in the "quiet" pools in the mansion section.

I've been worrying a bit about the bus transportation and room request location. I fell in love with the Magnolia Terrace building in January, it looked so beautiful on our carriage ride. I would be completely happy in ANY mansion building but I've been looking at the resort map and bus route. And I'm thinking I might want to stay in either Parterre Place or Oak Manor. They seem to be a bit closer to the first bus stop.

If you look in this map image, I've circled and numbered the bus stops in the order that they pick up. If we go to the one near the mansion section then we would be the last stop. The orange arrows are the walking paths we'd take to get to the bus stop.
EditedPORMap.jpg

I like the idea of getting on sooner rather then being the last stop. Plus it's not too much further to the main pool and lobby. I need to find some more pictures of POR. Maybe I'll just take my chances with whatever Mansion Building I get. I don't know! I know I'm worrying over something silly. I think I'll just request a Mansion building and at least I'm prepared with whatever one we get, I'll know how to get to the bus. Okay, no more freaking about it. :thumbsup2

We were in Parterre Place our last stay at POR. We did walk to the main depot everytime and I think even got off there too. One time on the way back from MK we actually took the POFQ bus and walked back from there... which was really not a bad walk at all. POR is spread out... and those two buildings are far, but so nice and peaceful. We did it with an almost two year old and stroller and I did not mind it. DH on the other hand hated that location.

I don't think the walking would be too bad for us. We both have so much more energy now. I just want this trip to be perfect which is why I'm stressing over it. I need to stop. We will make the best out of wherever we end up. I know that deep down, I just need to stop thinking so much. :rotfl2:

I think we'd rather have peaceful than a short walk.

I would really remember that the two resorts don't share MK buses, especially at night entertainment!
