Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Yeah for 100 days! :cool1: Well, actually 99 now! :cool1::woohoo::dance3::yay::banana::cheer2:

As far as the pants dilema - why don't you purchase a variety - include jeans and capris. Personally, I think jeans in florida are oppressive, but that's just me. I bet you can find some nice light weight pants. The closer you wait until late July and August, the better chance you have of them being on clearance. But something you think you can wear a few times before having to wash - something low on the wrinkles.

How I wish Stacy and Clinton would do a "What not to wear" episode on park attire! :rotfl:

Oh...the picture must be in HS, but I have no clue wear.

I LOVE that bench! Totally brings back TV Commercial memories!

Started my countdown- yours was way funner! ;)

Yay for 99 days now!!! Double digits, baby!!!:cool1:

I really don't recommend jeans in September! We've been there twice mid to late September and it's SO HOT, like so hot, if you wear your hair down, your neck is wet within the first hour first thing in the morning. I really think less is more....

I'm glad my lists comfort you! Is that a ticker I spy?? You will get 29 more if I counted right. :rolleyes1

Whoops! I forgot I already saw one of the thirty. Yay for 29 more lists!

Yep, it sure is a ticker! 11 glorious days in Orlando...Disney and Harry Potter...and no extended family. Ahhh. :cloud9:

The only thing that would make it better is if free dining would be extended like last year. That would save us over $1300! So if you could talk to the powers that be and take care of that for me, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Double digit dancing!
:cool1: :cheer2:

I think it's fun to have long pre-trip reports. It's fun to watch the plans formulate and then change and then morph into the final agenda. :goodvibes

So, blab away! :hyper2:

I think your list looks great! But I am getting ahead of myself. YAY big time YAY to adding (maybe) two extra days!! This will give you time to do whatever you didn't do or long to do after your more structured days (those you have 'big plans" for)... You will have less pressure to fill them, then!

Good choices with the packing. I put on a pair of denim capris in October (this was end of Sept first of Oct) and it was HOT. I wish I hadn't worn them... But that is just me, I get hot. So, if you are comfortable in them, then fine. I understand what you are saying about capris and such, but if you did get a pair, would you be able to wear them into the fall up in MA? Is there somewhere you can go to get some inexpensive ones? I personally think denim would just weigh you down in sept. Especially if it rains and they get wet... Just my 2 cents. You gotta wear what is most comfortable! :thumbsup2 The list seems very manageable.
I wore jean capris in September 08 and I think I was okay heat wise. I don't remember them being the cause of feelign sweaty at least. :rotfl: I'm just so torn on what to buy. I think in some of my pictures from Disney I look like a dork with what I'm wearing so that is why I'm stressing out about it. I'm just being silly.

I may have bought some Teva Mush flip flops today too because a certain person ENABLED me, wait that's not strong enough of a word, telepathetically through email made me press the buy button at Amazon!! When Phillip finds out and he ALWAYS does...he's coming straight for that person, I'm telling him I was possessed or something!!!:rotfl2:
That is all on YOU! Not me. I will make sure I turn Phillip in the right direction AKA YOU! ;):rotfl:

27 pages already. Hmm..must take time another day to catch up. Although, by the time I catch up, I'm sure you'll hav 50 pages by then! ;)
Right now...we'll make it short, love the new camera/pano's, loving the itinerary, even if you're thinking of changes already (jealous, you're stretching it out so far! Although you and Mark do need and deserve a nice long vacay together!) Love the new bathing suit! Super cute! I know there's more, but I've forgotten already :rotfl:I shall try my best to keep up!
Pic...I'm sure somebody already guessed, but one of the park benches at DHS?
Woo Hoo for being caught up! :goodvibes You are right it is one of the park benches at DHS!

Leslie, go check at Target, they had some new capris in this weekend. Maybe you can find some there! :goodvibes
Ooh, I am going to go check them out online right now! :thumbsup2

Not sure about the trip report, I had not really planned on it. As for adding nights, it was me... we are gone 10 nights already. I am not sure I can handle 11 days of kids off schedule and not at home...so any longer would be just too much.

Our last childfree trip was a long weekend at WDW/Tampa just before Halloween... it was lots of fun!
I'm sad that there will be no TR. :sad2:

I think a variety is going to be the way to go. I was pretty discouraged at Walmart last night, the sizes that I wear at Old Navy were not fitting me at Walmart. Bah.

I don't know, I really liked your random facts!

I wore my hair down in Sept. 08 and it didn't bother me. I don't like the way I look in a ponytail...my face looks huge. But I want to get my haircut shorter before then so we'll see. That is a whole different post.

LL, I wouldn't worry too much about the stuff at Wal-Mart. I always find that they run fairly small there. I don't know how many times I've brought home something I was sure would be fine because I had bought a size up, only to find it's too small. If there is a Kohl's near you they sometimes have a good variety, and there is almost always a sale going on.

I have to second Tink's suggestion of light weight cargos. I wore cargos on my trip in April and really loved them. If it was cool I could roll them down, or if it was warm roll them up. They always suited the weather.

I know I shouldn't be frustrated but I am. I think I may have found something to work out though. :woohoo:

99 Days!!

:hyper::jumping1::hyper::jumping1::hyper:

I'm VERY excited. 99 days seem so much closer than 100 days!

Name where this light fixture is!
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2488.jpg

The list for today is what I will be carrying in my Vera Bradley Saddle Up Bag. No....do not enable me to buy a new pattern!

Mine is the Mod Floral Pink one on the left.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2009.jpg

Things to Carry in Park Bag
*Camera
*Extra Memory Card
*Extra Camera Battery (still need to purchase)
*Umbrella
*1 Poncho (I told Marc I would carry a poncho for him but not an umbrella. He has to carry his own umbrella)
*Wallet (I would like a smaller one, mine is huge because it fits my checkbook. Probably get a $5 one at Walmart)
*Bandaids & Blister Supplies ('nuff said)
*Body Glide Packets (need to order these from the running website)
*Chapstick (I have a new favorite chapstick, "Chapstick Fresh Effects - Invigorating green tea mint". It is truly delightful.)
*Small metal water bottle (It worked well in January, I had the little Ariel one that Jen bought me. Fit right in my bag.)
*Trading Pins (will probably bring about 10 or so each day for trading.)

I feel like I carried more in January but I can't think of anything else.

99 Days!! :bitelip:

What fun dancing!!! I feel very excited for you!!! party:

I need a smaller wallet for vacations, too! Let me know if you find something good!

Hurrah for the countdown being in high gear AND double digits!! I like your combo list and where in the World picture idea. Sadly I have no idea where your picture was taken. A shop in WS perhaps?

:banana::cool1::dance3::yay::cheer2: I will Dance with you!!! :cheer2::dance3::yay::banana::cool1:

YAY for Double digit dancing! So exciting! Your trip will be here before you know it!!!

Awwww...Vera!! Such a wonderful purse!!

Love your list of supplies in your purse! I hope to be able to just live out of my purse someday at Disney! I envy the fact that you can and have done it LOL!! I might have to give it a go on my next trip, but we'll see LOL!!!!! I do have that cargo bag :rolleyes1 But you know me and my Mary Poppins bag...so hard to give up LOL!!!!

I know where that picture was taken...I know!!! :rotfl2:

First, we shall dance! (great pictures btw!)
:banana::banana:party::jumping1:party::banana::banana:

Next we shall guess:

I'm going to guess inside the Yak and Yeti restaurant at AK.

And then, we shall comment:
I think your list looks good. Do you wear sunglasses? The only other thing I can think of maybe sunblock.
I usually carry neosporin in the backpack, but I have little kids.
I don't even bring a wallet into the parks. Just a small pouch that holds cards and $ bills only. Just an idea. I want to keep them in my pocket, but in July that would be gross and sweaty.
Are you putting your pins on a lanyard or anything?

Ohhh.....Lists by Leslie! Ahhhhh :cloud9:
Leslie, I love your lists! They make me feel better that I, too, am making lists more than 100 days out from my trip! I so look forward to all your lists!!

OH, and yea for you adding two more days to your trip. My friend and I were able to do that as well- our trip was oringinally 6 nights, and now it is 8!!! I don't think it is a Disney trip if you don't add days! :rotfl: (DH and I had to add one night to our trip in '08 because there were no later flights on the day we wanted to leave- I guess that's what happens when you book late for a Thanksgiving trip!)

:cool1::banana::dance3::cheer2:

WOO HOO for the 99 day mark! You go, Girl! You will be Home before you know it! Can't wait for a TR!!! I will be leaving shortly after you return, so I will be totally excited to hear what you have to say! :woohoo:

Good luck with school, LL!

:woohoo: for 99 days!!!! :woohoo:
Let's see....love your countdown idea..:thumbsup2
You are such a Virgo! :rotfl2: And I mean that as a term of endearment as my birthday is the 7th :rotfl2:
ME is so right....Stacy and Clinton would have a field day at the World! I saw a lot of high heels this past trip...I seldom wear heels in my real life let alone my vacation life :confused3
I think you should definitely look into the capris....it will still be hot in September and could still be warm/humid at night....I was there last October maybe mid October I think and it was in the 90's  I know that Jen wears jeans year round but she doesn't have the same blood as we do :rotfl:
I love your Mod floral and no you don't need a new one ;) that is one of my favorite patterns :goodvibes

Tracy

I need to start writing out specifics for my packing list, including clothing. I hope to sit down and work on all the fun lists this weekend.

From what I read from last year's TR, the weather in September is hot and humid. I normally can wear jeans too in warmer weather, but the stickness will make me not want to wear them. Capris I could probably get away with instead of jeans. What about a skirt for a cooler option too?

Oh, the photo I believe is DHS but it has been so long since I have been there I bet I will suck at this game! :lmao: It will be fun to try nonetheless. :goodvibes:

My countdown is getting close to a 100 days too!! So excited!!

:woohoo: for being in double digits!!! :woohoo:

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:
