Relationship between USAir/United/Ted

Trying to figure out the relationship between them.
We have rescheduled flights with USAir due to Frances. New flight is next weekend with United/Ted.
My ressie still shows up on USAir web site, but I have called United for seat assignment. We will be using United terminal at O'hare.

Anyone know?

Heard that they sell each others tickets.

Now if Ivan can just dissapear!!

Ted is a division of United. As of now they are still United because they haven't completely finished changing the gate signs and painting the aircrafts. United and Ted leave out of terminal 1 at O'Hare. United Express leaves out of Terminal 2.

USAIR and United have a code share agreement. This means you can buy a ticket on USAIR for a United flight and vise-versa. If you bought the tickets through USAIR but you are on a United or Ted flight you need to check in with United in terminal 1. Your reservation should say something like FLIGHT OPERATED BY UNITED AIRLINES.

I appreciate the explanation.

Now I am wondering if changes need to be made (the possibility of Ivan), can I make them with United? It seems that USAir had a different policy on the flights for this weekend. I had to change the tickets to travel within 7 days from the original flight. I really would like to postpone until maybe October. Just want to make sure things at the beach are cleaned up! We will be at St. Pete beach. We don't want to be in the way of any clean up operations. Not sure what United's policy is.

You make the changes with the airline that you bought the tickets from.

The only way you can change to October is if they completely cancel your flight. Then you have lots of options.

I think we are going to play the waiting game again this week!

National Hurricane Center has Ivan near Cuba on Friday morning.

I know things can change and that it, at this point, is merely a projection.
