Rehearsal Dinner Location

DF and I decided that we are probably going to have a rehearsal dinner now (we were originally going to do only a dessert party). Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to have it? We're going to have around 50 people. I know 'Ohana is popular... Thanks!!

My EM told me that O'hanas, 1900 Park Fare, and Chef Mickey's are really popular choices for rehearsal dinners. I am planning mine to be at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

hmmmm...Whispering Canyon Cafe! Love it! Sorry to hijack...if I were having a rehearsal or rehearsal dinner, it would be at W.C.C. or O'hana's. Anything you chose at Disney would be good, just pick something you like!

We will be having ours at Ohana's. It is by far our favorite restaurant...and it's all you can eat! So no one goes home hungry, and I'm sure out of the millions of things they bring out everyone will fall in love with some portion of the meal. I fell in love with all of it

We decided to do something a little bit different so we are planning to have our rehearsal dinner at Boma at the AKL. We both love the buffet there and it's something that most of our guests wouldn't try on their own.

I'm still unsure where to have my rehearsal dinner. I tried calling Ohanas two days ago and left a message with management to discuss whether or not they could take such a large party. But they havent called back yet

..Ive also thought about calling the Rainforest to see if we could buy it out or Planet Hollywood.

I would be interested to hear of some new ideas and places too! It seems like everyone has their rehearsal dinner at O'hanas and it looks really cool, but I'd like to hear about other places too. Would anyone be willing to share how much the typical rehearsal dinner cost? For example if I did have it at Ohanas for 60 people, any estimates?

Also, this is OT, but most weddings I've gone to the rehearsal dinner is just for the wedding party, when it's at Disney do most people invite all the people invited to the wedding as kind of a welcome party? I want to do this but am afraid DF's parents will flip out!! They keep saying how they don't know how much if anything they can pay for the rehearsal dinner help out but when I say that they don't have to help and I'm fine with handling that on my own they insist they want to and can. It keeps going back and forth..

Anyways, sorry for hijacking a little bit and thanks in advance for any help!!!

Places like Ohana, 1900 PF, and Chef Mickey's are fixed price dinners, which is nice because you have an idea of what it's going to cost. You would just need to factor in drinks.

We chose 1900 PF as our wedding dinner and it's kind of nice knowing what the tally will be in advance. That way I'm not running a total in my head as people's meals come, hehe.

We are hoping to do our combined Rehersal/Welcome dinner at 'Ohana. We love this place and I like the price fixe aspect. We are planning on making it a dual purpose dinner. I would feel funny just asking my bridal party to attend this event as most of my bridal party is married and have kids. By the time we invite our parents, spouses and kids we might as well add a few more and make it one big party. We will probably have 6 in our bridal party (for both bride and groom) and inviting approximately 50 to the wedding. We are scheduled for a Monday early morning wedding in Epcot so I was thinking of doing a Saturday evening dinner. Most everyone should be there by then and I do not want to leave it to the night before as our wedding is scheduled to be at 9:00am in Epcot (Italy). I do not want to schedule anything big for the night before the ceremony as I am sure I will have last minute details to work on.

Well the fixed price is around $26 for an adult meal at Ohana's. I think childrens meal is around $11-12. This doesn't include drinks.

As for who to invite- We plan on having 80 people for the wedding ceremony, and I don't really feel comfortable having my in-laws pay that much. The plan right now is to only invite the bridal party and their spouse/children, as well as grandparents. I'm trying to keep it under 30, which is hard because you want to invite everyone.

Oh, that's another good reason why Ohana's is a good choice. Because it's family-style you don't have to worry about servers mixing up the orders.

I'm starting to become convinced that O'hanas is the place for me! I was looking at some stuff on it on the Dining Board and the food sounds to die for! Does anyone know how they would arrange a party of around 60? Would we be like scattered at various tables or would they figure out away to have us all seated together?
