I was just told that San Angel is under rehab during May, anyone heard this? Wonder if it will affect the ride?

Don't know for sure, but I would bet not as the ride queue, load and unload area, and the beginning of the ride go around the restaurant. Although, if they are going to make changes to the scene across the river (volcano), then maybe.

I haven't heard anything about the ride itself being closed down; just the restaurant and a change to a couple of the stores (putting a tequila bar inside).

They could probably easily erect tarp along the restaurant area across from the volcano and easily have the boats go by unobstructed.

I'd agree that a rehab of the restaurant wouldn't affect the ride, especially since the ride itself was rehabbed fairly recently.

Now if they would only install some good food in the restaurant....
