Regular Meal times for toddlers?

Do what you need to do, but I feel by putting the kids down that early in the evening, YOU will be the one missing out at Disney. The night time events are the reason I go to Disney - there's nothing better.

That said, I have never kept my kids on their regular schedule while on vacation - but my kids have never been to bed that early. While as Disney, we usually plan to start our days at rope-drop, take an early afternoon break/nap/swim and then return to one of the parks for the evening fireworks/parades. My kids were always "go with the flow" type of children - if they were too tired to stay awake, they slept in the stroller.

The kids trips so far were: DS 6 months; DS 3.5 and DD turning 1; and DS 5.5 and DD almost 3. We will be returning next fall with DS8 and DD almost 6and this will be our first year without a stroller. We will be travelling with another family with children 9, almost 6, 5 and 2.

We will be traveling in May with our 2 yr old twins and I am trying to plan our meals at the moment. At home we eat at 5:30pm pretty much every single night and they are asleep by 7 - 7:30.

In your experience, do you reserve dinner at your usual time while at WDW or do you make adjustments? Also, do your toddlers go to bed later or about the same time? Thanks!

I'd love to hear how your trip goes....our twins are 19 mos and we are trying to decide when to take them on their 1st trip!! Have a blast!

We kept our meals as early as possible( but we eat very early at home 400p)We kept DD on her home schedule( she was 4) as much as we could..
