? regarding codes and AAA-

I know you can only use one discount at a time- but... I currently have a 15% AAA rate for Late August and called our of curiosity about a "code attached to my name" and there was one there effective for bookings through Feb 25th. I asked the CM and the discount code is valid for my dates- but she couldn't (or wouldn't!) tell me what the discount was for! It could be the elusive 40% one and that would be better than 15% of course. Since I booked through AAA- she said she couldn't check it. My question is... can I get my TA to apply the code for me? I'm hoping this will be the discount we need to afford to upgrade to a deluxe!

Hi krismom, you can call back and not tell them that you have comething booked through AAA and just have them check for your dates and resorts and then compare the prices. I have done this and it is really easy since they can't see your AAA ressie (they are booked in a different office). If they won't give you the code, then you won't be able to have your AAA agent change the ressie.

Yes, your travel agent can do that. Last year we booked with AAA (and the AAA discount). Later we received a pin and she was able to apply it. In truth, it requires a room to be available. They kill your old ressie. It's not actually being applied to the reservation you already have. That's important to understand. When the pin arrived our agent couldn't find any availability for our dates. I would not be deterred. I called several times a day until rooms opened. Then I called the TA, and it was done.
