We have won a bid on priceline for regal sun resort for April 2-8. We have decided to stay at Hard Rock Hotel the 6-8 because of all the negative reviews I have heard about Regal Sun. Should we just find a different hotel for the 2-6 and just lose our $$ on the Regal Sun or is it bearable for the 4 days???? Please help,,, losing sleep over this foolish hotel.:scared:

I was looking at this hotel earlier, i think its just had an amazin refurb and it looks and sounds pretty much good. x

I wouldn't sweat it -- much of the negative buzz you are hearing about Regal Sun dates back to the days when the resort was known as the Grosvenor.

The $25M renovation was complete, this past September, which was a short 6 months ago. Although, once that first, bad impression is made, it seems that all the upgrades in the world will never "fix" what someone found wrong.

But then again, some of the same folks who probably speak negatively of the Regal Sun are probably those who only stay in Disney O&O properties...you know, it's a "magic" thing...

My advice -- enjoy your savings, and give the renovated hotel a chance -- then, report back to the rest of us...

:confused3 you never know what you are going to get. The hotel looks nice but you can read some bad reviews and it confuses you. Thanks again for all the posts

What amount was your winning bid?

Our winning bid was 80.00 per night which is not that much cheaper that the usual but we saved a little

We looked at this place just last week to get an idea if it is someplace to stay for a FUTURE VISIT . The Lobby is really done up great ..... but you do not Sleep in the Lobby . We went up to see one of the Suites with a disney view , and it looks like all the furniture is New & carpeting . The Bathroom has an Old look to it , dirty Grout lines , some things not touched with the 25 Million !! Great View of Downtown Disney , but can you see this IN YOUR SLEEP ? Water pressure was not great , yeah , turn on those Faucets when checking out a Room ! Whats more important ........... a Great View , or , good Water Pressure , your choice . Kitchen area was still OLD looking ..... not much done there but new Paint ! You only are in the room for 5-7 hours for sleeping though , I hope , The parks are the Main Attraction here ........ The Choice is yours , hope this helps ! :wave2: :goofy: :tink:
