Regal Palms

Hi,
A workmate of mine has bought a townhouse there and we went to look round the complex at Christmas. It had a nice pool and lazy river area with lots of tables and sun loungers. There's a restuarant and bar together with a small games room. Part of the facilities were still under construction but due to be completed by Easter. Here's a link to some pictures I took.

Morning
We stayed at Regal Palms for 2 weeks last December it was very good as the previous Mick says the swimming complex was brilliant and nice and warm .
The townhouses were very spacious we had a 3 bed. Enjoyed it so much we are going again in December this year

We're staying there in exactly one month. The pool complex looks wonderful. We're bringing 9 & 10 year old boys, so I'm sure they're going to love it.

Any word on when the fitness facilities will be finished? Also, I've read of some terrible customer service stories. Does anybody have any pointers?

We’re also staying there in the first two weeks of April. I read some good comments and some negative comments on the following website:

But as I say, a holiday is only as good as you make it.

We’re travelling with Travel City Direct, does anyone know if you’re allowed to use the facilities even if you have not booked directly with the Resort.

Raz I check Trip Advisor almost daily for new reviews. My biggest concern is the noise from construction and the rudeness of the staff. I did address these concerns with the owner of the unit we are renting, and he thanked me for bringing the reveiws to his attention. He said he has had nothing but rave reviews and didn't have any problems when staying in the unit himself.

We, too, are renting directly through the owner, rather than the resort. All who are staying on the grounds are welcome to use the facilities, not just those renting through the resort. The pictures of the pool look divine; I'm sure the kids are going to love it!

Hi Bbbethei,
Thanks for the info. Apparently all the construction work is supposed to be completed by now. Did the owners of your villa confirm that or did they say the work is still ongoing.

Can't wait to go now. My two girls talk about it everyday.

The owner of my unit doesn't live nearby so he isn't at the resort on a regular basis. However, he did say that our unit isn't near the construction and that the fitness center is supposed to be completed by the end of the month. I guess that date has been changed several times so I wouldn't take it as the gospel truth.

Recent reviews on Trip Advisor talk about the construction, maybe they are fron older trips? I'm hoping it'll be as quiet as possible.

Are you staying in a single family house or a townhouse?

Hi Bbbethei,

We have been allocated what TCD describe as a 4 bedroom Executive Home, I would presume that means a single family home.

I'm not to bothered about the construction work during the day as long as it's not visible from where we are staying. We will be spending so little time at the villa, so it doesn't really matter.

Have a great trip anyway.
