Refurb Updates

No, Tea Cups or IASW for my trip. :( Heard a rumor that Alice in Wonderland will be closed too. I hope not.

Alice is one of my faves. Hopefully it will be postponed.

I think we are going to have to change our dates :( my DH will be thrilled the tea party will be closed, I on the other hand can't accept it. Lol. Happy to see BTMRR not on the list. And fantastic is down too, I've never seen it and my kids would love it. Hmm

We've gone several times the end of January, first of February.

When I looked before booking, there were only a few things closed during our dates.

With this update, this is the first time the list of closures has been so long.

Oh well it's too late to change our plans. I'm not letting the Refurb List put a damper on the trip.

Being there with my four grandkids GDS 18, GDD 15, GDS 10 and GDD 8 will be a BLAST!

I'm a power walker..... I hope they can keep up with me.

Hopefully a few of these will not come to pass. For example, the Cafe Orleans refurb has been pushed out twice.

I plan to be there Jan. 29 - Feb. 1 and walking fast, too. :hyper: :rotfl2:

Have an eating area closed doesn't bother me, there are so many to choose from.
We'll wait and see what the facts are when we're there.
We arrive January 28th and depart February 2nd.

I can hardly wait...... I think I'm more excited than the grandkids.

Small world awwww my little one loves that at wdw and I was looking forward to seeing his face when he sees the outside and in line

Normally I'd agree, but we are talking about POMMES FRITES. ;)

(I'm sure my arteries will be grateful to miss out.)

I read a good point on "another board".
If you look at the list, you see:

Jan. 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, 28-31, Feb. 4-7, 11-14, 18-21, 25-28, 2013:
Big Thunder Trail will be closed for refurbishment.

It doesn't seem that a pathway needs to be closed for several days - eight times - "for refurbishment". It's more logical to think that the path needs to be closed to guests so that heavy equipment can be moved to/from the ride for its extensive makeover.

It could be that Disney (like it has so often done before) simply left important information off an official notice.

I agree. I'd guess it's most likely a cut and paste issue. Of course, I can hope that they're bumping it back again till after my trip!

Instead of "not in my backyard", I cry "not on my trip!" ;)

Sounds logical to me.
