Hello, Fellow DISers:goodvibes I was curious if there are currently any refurb "tarps" over any of the buildings facades on Main Street or Liberty Square? It seems I saw pictures (a few weeks ago) that showed tarps over The Plaza Restaurant and some at the bottom of Cindy's Castle. Anyone back recently that saw any others? or can confirm if the tarps mentioned have been removed? When we were there last May, it seemed that there were tarps everywhere! Thank in advance for any reports!

Liberty Tree Tavern had "refurb tarps" on yesterday, as did Peter Pan. I don't recall if the Castle did or not, but the moat is drained in the immediate area around it. Don't recall any others, but that could speak to my memory, level of attention, or how well Disney disguises works-in-progress. ;)

Thanks for the response, mesaboy2! I am in total agreement with Disney's ability to disguise their works-in-progress. I have to say I'm a little bummed to hear that Peter is sporting a tarp:sad: I know in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing. After all, we'll be at Disney!:cloud9:

I was there last week and there were coverings on the main street side front facade of Casey's and across the street where the ice cream place is. Also I did see the tarps on the lower left/back side of the castle too. I think that in addition to what was already mentioned, those were the only ones.

We saw tarps on Peter Pan and The Plaza Restaurant. Also saw some going in towards Toon town (actually a wall). There was one other place but for the life of me I can't remember right now. This was as of Friday last week.

And the wall is up from Ariel's Grotto all the way to Toontown in prep. for the Fantasyland expansion.
As well, Sat. there was a veil over the guitar at RNRC as it was getting some kind of makeover too. This covering was not nearly as well "imagined" as the tarps at MK.

Please tell me the ride is not closed for refurb!!!!?????
It is DS4's ultimate favorite!!!

Has anyone been paying enough attention to know how long these tarps stay on a building at a time? Are we looking, for example, at the tarps that will all be there in a month?

I will cry if Peter Pan is down this fall. DS(3) has never ridden it and has specifically asked to this time around.

Peter Pan was open last week, the facade was just tarped (with, as said, a tarp painted to look like the actual facade.) Pooh had a wall/construction area in front of part of it, but was also open. Casey's was tarped. The Liberty Square side of the moat was drained and some castle-colored tarps, but just around the bottom/moat area.

Peter Pan is OPEN. Don't worry. It's just getting an exterior refurb

Well the thing is that those tarps will most likely be gone but then 5 others will be up in their place. They seem to be doing exterior refurbs on most buildings. There have been tarps every time we have been there this past year. I believe they are doing this in preparation for the fantasy land expansion.

Yes, PP was open. They are just redoing the exterior facade to freshen it up. Similar things happen all the time, for instance Pinnochio's Village Haus had tarps on it in February, and this weekend they were gone and PVH looked great! No worries....

I have to say that DISNEY is very impressive with those tarps, you hardly notice them they are so accurate to depict the location, YEAH Disney, hope its all + by the time of our visit.

Hadn't realized PVH was still tarped in February - it was tarped before we got there in May 2009 - that's quite extensive! Anyway, it's a great project, and the vacation photos don't look so bad with the fancy new photorealistic tarps. Anyone have any before/after comparisons of any of the previously tarped locations?
