We used filed through Military OneSource using H&R Block, and I will say I was concerned especially after reading this thread and their facebook page. I efiled on the 31st, and just got the email that the IRS has accepted my return. I hope they process it as fast as it looks like they have others.

This was us as well! They accepted it exactly 48 hours from the time I submitted it!!

I got home from a weeklong trip yesterday and filed today.

Fingers crossed for a fast acceptance and processing!

ETA: Did anyone who used Turbo Tax take advantage of the Amazon deal? I did for only a small amount.

Let's hope they're as quick as last year. Last year I filed, it was accepted on the first day they were accepting returns, and I had my refund the following Friday. Today, 1/31, is the first day the IRS is accepting returns. I checked the site IRS.gov, and they said my return has been accepted. Hoping to have my refund to pay off some bills next week (they ONLY do direct deposit on Fridays!)

NOT true that they only deposit on Fridays. Last year, I had my refund on a Monday. This year my refund is scheduled to be deposited by Feb. 6 which is a Thursday. I filed with Turbo Tax and was accepted in an early test batch.

NOT true that they only deposit on Fridays. Last year, I had my refund on a Monday. This year my refund is scheduled to be deposited by Feb. 6 which is a Thursday. I filed with Turbo Tax and was accepted in an early test batch.

Regarding your DD that you got on a Monday, it was probably an error on your bank's part. The IRS sends funds on Wednesdays to be released to your account on that Friday. They also mail the paper checks on Fridays to be received on Tuesdays.

That is SOP for the IRS and has been for many years. If you're saying the IRS "where's my refund?" page is saying you will receive your refund on 2/6, they may have changed things (unlikely) or, if you were in a "test batch", that could be the reason.

Finally got accepted today. What a relief. I got the email about 5 hours after i checked the site. I should have stayed away from that fb page. It was hysteria lol.
Anyone with deposit dates know how long it takes for approval?
I just can't wait to fill the oil tank lol

I went to that Facebook page just out of curiousity..... WOW!! Those people are REALLY mad!!!!!! I can't say I blame them!

With the dates, it's hard to say. The IRS is saying you'll receive your refund within 21 days of it being accepted. My experience has always been that if I was in the batch that got accepted on the first day they start accepting/processing, I get my refund by the following Friday. One other time when I filed a little later, I had my refund in about 10 days and always on a Friday.

The IRS is pretty quick. It's the state that's slow.

Yes. THIS year. I was referring to years' past and how it's always been done. THIS year, they are doing things differently such as not having the refund cycle chart that they would release each year. They are not doing that this year and, from what you're saying, they're doing "test batches" which is something new. I still stand by your bank making an error. In the past, IRS did NOT do direct deposits on Mondays. It has always been Fridays for everyone.

Individual states are different, however. I am in NY and got my state refund on a Saturday when it was scheduled for a Monday.

They didn't have the refund cycle chart last year either. You can stand by what you think is correct, but it's my bank and my account so I'm pretty sure you know nothing of it. Goodnight.

I received my refund on a Tuesday last year and my brother received his on a Monday.

I just checked the whereismyrefund website and my money will be direct deposited on Thursday February 6. I filed with taxslayer on January 30.

I filed just before 9am on Jan 31st on HRBlock. I finally got the accepted by Feds email on Sat afternoon. I filed DD right after 9am and hers was accepted later the day on the 31st. So they are definitely sending them thru in batches. I was a little worried since hers was accepted before mine but mine was filed first.
Now the waiting game...IRS shows being processed.
We are not doing anything exciting with our refund, just paying of some bills so we can be debt free again.

So those who filed thru HRB, their FB page is crazy but have patience and hopefully it will get accepted today!

I filed last Tuesday, so the 29th, on hrblock online. It was accepted on thu I think. I remember being surprised because I didn't think they would accept them until the 31st.

I just looked at the IRS page and it says we should get our refund by feb 6th. Yay! So we can turn around and file state taxes and pay.

I filed through my accountant on the 31st. Where's my refund finally showed received this morning. Now, to wait. I will finish paying for our trip and pay some bills.
