What to do?! I canceled a room only reservation online that I had used a $150 gift card to partially pay for. I can't find the lost gift card and fear I may I have thrown it away after our last trip earlier this month. I have the first 12 digits of the card but that's it. I'm on the phone with Disney right now but they don't think they can help me.

Any hope?

Did you happen to save it in a disneygiftcard .com account? Or maybe Android Pay? If so, the info will still be in the account even if the current balance is zero? When Disney adds the funds back to the GC, all you need to do is combine that GC onto a new Disney GC using the disneygiftcard .com website. Then you'll have the funds on a physical GC.

I don't know if you were able to find anything out, but I did something similar. I purchased a ticket, then threw away the GC. A special DVC ticket deal has just come out but I was told it wouldn't apply to my purchase. After doing some research, I realized it did. When I called them, they said they could refund me for the ticket, then I could buy another one with the DVC discount. The told me to do the refund, I would need the original GC. Of course, I didn't have it. They said that they would just credit me the difference onto a new GC when I arrived at Disney. I don't know if you are planning on a trip later, but that might be your only option.

Question...who did you call? Ticketing or MS? I bought 7-day park hoppers a month before the DVC deal came out and I would love to "return" them and get the DVC ones instead. I used my DVA to pay for it so a refund should be fairly straightforward. Our trip isn't until October but I know the DVC tickets must be purchased by 3/31.

If you also have the PIN, you could add the funds to another Disney GC using disneygiftcard.com, so that you have a physical GC.

I stupidly canceled the reservation online instead of calling Disney first to see if they could refund to a different gift card which they probably would have been able to do. When I talked to the person, she said she couldn't get into the reservation in her system since I had already canceled it, so no way to even see any parts of the gift card number. She gave me the phone number for disney billing and research so waiting for them to open this morning.

Usually I put all my gift cards in my disney vacation account, so it would have been a big deal if the funds had simply been returned to there. But this time, I spent the physical gift card amount directly instead. I don't think this is going to work out well for me. Lesson learned I guess.

I called MS, but they had me call Ticketing. I will tell you though that they looked up what date I purchased the ticket and saw that it was AFTER the DVC deal came out, so if you bought tickets a month BEFORE, I don't think you will get a refund.

I really don't think it would have mattered if you called them first because they are not allowed to give out the GC number to you. What I had to do to find out which GC was used was to look at my email confirmation and it showed it there.

The email confirmation from the reservation only showed the first 12 digits of the gift card number unfortunately.

The reason that only the first 12 digits are on your confirmation email is because the pin # isn't required on checkout when you book online.

So, how about this work-around: Go back and book another package, using the GC number to make your deposit. You're going to cancel this reservation, too, so make sure that it is well beyond the fee-free cancellation date. When you go to cancel this new reservation, CALL! Tell them that you did not save the GC and ask them to send you a refund on a new GC.

Don't you need the whole 16 digit gift card# to make a reservation?
