Refund credited to room what can I do?

WE were so happy getting the AP discount at ASM. NOw please explain how can we use the money credited to our room? Can we spend it on food and other Disney items? Thank you for any information. Disney lovers, You're the best! Do we use our resort card to charge these items to the room?

you can spend it on anything, basically they will attach it to your room key if you set it up for charging.

Are you certain that it's been credited to your room? Normally Disney credits it back to the card that it was initially charged on.

The Disney gal I talk to was so nice about changing to the AP discount. She said she thought it would either be credited to our room or possibly back to our credit card. If it is credited back to my Disney Visa, do they deduct the Disney dollars I was given for that amount?

We've had this happen twice in the last year when we changed reservations once the AP rates came out. Both times they credited our deposits to the new reservation. You will see that on the new confirmation letter. Any extra $$ left over can be used to charge back to your room, like you said, for food, souvenirs, etc.

If all you have paid on the room is the one night's deposit, they will simply apply the entire amount you have already paid to the reservation, thus lowering your balance due at check in.

If you have paid the entire balance for the room in advance and you were booked on a room only, they will hold the money until you check in and you can put the excess amount towards any room charges you make. If you make no room charges, the amount would be refunded to you upon departure.

If you have a package reservation through WDTC and have already paid in full, they will refund the overage the same way it was paid (to your credit card if paid by CC, by check if paid by check, etc).

As to your Disney Visa, you would lose credit for anything that is credited back to your card. They would not remove what is already posted but will make the adjustment when the current month's charges get credited.
