Im getting marrried on the 8th Sep and having my MK bridal portrait on the 10th Sep. Do I need to have my bouquet refreshed? I dont know if its worth the extra $75.
Thanks!

From what I've heard on the boards, it's not really worth the $75. Most of the pics won't be so close to your bouquet to tell if it's a little wilted.

Depending on the type of flowers you are using, they may hold up pretty well.

Probably not worth it! I paid for a refresh (then they bought the wrong flowers so I didn't have a bouquet for 1/2 my shoot!) and kept my bouquet after. A week later it still looked great! Had I not bothered with the refresh I would have saved money, had my bouquet for the whole shoot, and I'm positive the flowers would have been just fine. I think "refresh" means they put it in the fridge to be honest...

Yeah, what they do is replace the wilted flowers, which - if your entire $300 bouquet wilted - would mean you get a whole new bouquet for $75 or $100 or whatever they quote you (depends on bouquet style).

BUT, as others have said, you can prolly use your bouquet as-is, or bring a fake bouquet. The pictures are taken from far enough away that you won't be able to tell the bouquet isn't in top form.

I got a fake one for about $25 at www.saveoncrafts.com but didn't end up using it b/c my bouquet still looked OK 2 days later....

my flowers stayed pretty for a week..I could have EASILY used them 2 days later for pictures...

I actually just threw them away Monday because they had browned

I don't think a refresh is necessary. If you leave your bouquet in water or in a fridge it will be fine. If you have delicate flowers like peonies or hydrangea, they may wilt. Roses should hold up with no problem.

Ok, Thanks guys, you have just saved me $75.

I will make sure my bouquet is kept cool and in water.

Did youre DH have a new boutioneirre(sp?) or did theres last?

DH's boutonniere started dying during the reception. :sad1: So we just skipped it for the MK shoot.

dh's was an orchid..so it started to wilt that night..orchids are very delicate!!

One thing about the bout. is that you can make one out of silk and bring it down with you, or if you go to a craft store like michaels they actually have them already made up and they are very inexpensive.

I would not refresh it...I had roses and they always die fast and mine lasted the whole week we were there.

I think it depends on the type of flowers you have...just keep your bouquet in water and it should be fine or you can keep it in the fridge if you have one in your room.
