refillable mugs split stay

Hi all. We are staying at BWV for 2 nights then switching to VGF for 4. If I buy refillable mugs at BWV will they still be active when I check into the VGF for that stay? Also I was considering purchasing the dining plan jus for my stay at BWV if I do that will the mugs work through my VGF stay? I thought they worked for 14 days but when I reviewed the dining plan it did not say that. Thanks for your help!

Yes, the mugs will be good for 14 days. I do split stays all the time and have never had an issue.

That's the advantage of the mugs now-they're not resort specific, AT ALL! I spent one night at Kidani, then switched to BCV with the same mug. And one time, when I got to BCV, my room wasn't ready so I walked over to YC to eat-bought my refillable mug there and used it all week at BCV. And whenever I eat in the QS at another resort (like taking the Skyway to Primo Plato), I bring my refillable mug to use.

Close, they are $22.99 per mug for your length of stay up to 14 days. There should also have a design featuring Pixar Pals with a pink or green lid at some locations.

I would just advise to hang onto your receipt for it just in case. It’s only happened once in my split stays but I did have to get a mug I bought at GF reactivated at YC because it had quit working. All I had to do was show the receipt though. Ever since then I make sure I hang onto them even though it’s not happened again.

They have always worked for 14 days for us, we even had them extended to 28 days (14 days and then another 14 days, when we produced the original receipt), on a long vacation.

I just added a dining plan to April trip since I’m bring my 5 yr old niece and her plan is free seems like a great deal. I always get a refillable mug and I’ve always understood that the mugs are good for 14 days and I’ve used the same mug when I do split stays at both resorts. I know that all dining plan meals and snacks had to be used by mid night of check out day but I know I’ve used the mug at another resort for additional days.
However I just received the email confirmation for my April trip and noticed the following in small print at bottom of the dining plan info:

“All unused meals and snacks and the ability to use your Resort-refillable mug expire at midnight on your package reservation checkout date.

Wow they may have closed the loophole.

I have thought of buying a QS for my 1 night for when my plane is a late arrival before moving the next day so that I would have the mug for the rest of the stay.

This method still works just fine because you purchased your mug separately. If you have any issues they can reset your mug in their system by presenting your receipt that shows the purchase date. It has a RF ID chip in the bottom of the mug that is read by the drink machine.

@Lsdolphin has a different situation since their mugs would be included as part of their Dining Plan (DP), and subject to the same rules as the other DP components.

The key part of the question is again did you purchase the mugs or get them at part of a Dining Plan (DP)?
