Asked a CM if drink prices really went down in the park and she said yes, and that there are now the refillable mugs in the parks...I think she might have been mistaken, though, or confused with another promotion. Can anyone confirm or deny?

It WOULD be nice. I know Sea World offers something like that, not free refills but cheaper.

We bought the refillable mugs at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach last trip and plan on using them on this trip.

Are you saying that MK and Epcot have refillable mugs? That would be soooo cool.

I do know that the water parks have refillable mugs, but I think you get a sticker that allows you to refill for one day, not your whole trip.
I think it would be really hard for the parks to have refillable mugs unless they add some pop stations away from the place where you order and pick up your food. All of the counter service places are set up for people to come into the line, order and then continue on to pick up their food. Unless they completely change things, I don't see how they could route people (plus you would need to hand your mug to someone behind the counter to refill - I'm sure that would break some food handling rules).

With the water park mugs we paid $5 for the sticker each time we went and continued using the mug the entire trip.
And you could use the mug from Typhoon Lagoon at Blizzard Beach, etc.

The soda refill stations are how they handle the refills - it certainly cuts back on standing in lines.

Does the $5 cover the mug also or just the drinks.

I don't remember the initial cost.
It was $10 or $15 for the mug and first drink.

Then it was $5 for the sticker each visit which got you the unlimited drinks.

It was an extremely good deal. With 2 adults and 2 children we drank a lot - even though we brought our own water.

The kids' meals at the water parks were a great deal, too.
They come in little buckets with a shovel - we had quite a collection by the end of the vacation.

Grand Canyon, could you tell me more about these?

Thanks

The kids meals were, I think, $3.50
They had a choice of hot dog, ham & cheese sandwich and something else (This was a year ago), and chips.
The bucket was one of those little plastic sand buckets and came with a shovel.
Our two DS get too busy and don't have much interest for food so this was the perfect amount for them.
Hope that answers the question.
I'll have to ask my husband if he remembers any details.

Weren't the refillable drinks at AK in a tall glass with an animal head? Or maybe that was Sea World. It all becomes one big blur. Aaah.
