Current DVC Incentives.....

The base price for all four properties is $112 per point. With no member referral there is a $5. discount per pt.
There has been no incentive end date announced yet.
Here is a list of the (member referral) per-point discounts being offered by resort and purchase level:

New Member Purchase with member referral (can't line them up right ..so I bolded them)
BLT AKV SSR GC
Pts. 160-199 $11 $19 $19 $22
200+ $13 $21 $21 $24

A member referral will "still" get you the additional $$ discount or a cruise (as the previous incentive indicated)


BTW...I had a friend purchase a few weeks ago and he got the extra $$ discount + 2008 points @ the AKV.

160 pts. BLT with a member referral is $11.00 discount..and if you buy 200 pts. it is a $13.00 discount.
160 pts. AKV/SSR is a $19.00 discount..... and if you buy 200 pts. it is a $21.00 discount.

Keep doing your homework until you are comfortable/knowledgable about the basic program ...Don't rush into DVC.....

I would be happy to be a referral for anyone. We've been members since Nov. 2007 and have used our dvc points for 7 trips in the past 2 years. We absolutely love our membership and have added on and will be adding on again sometime in August. We own at the AKV and the BWV. Our guide is wonderful and has never been pushy, in fact we were assigned him in 1996 when my mom first wanted to purchase, when we called back in 2007 he still had our name in the computer system and the fact that I was getting braces back in 1996 haha. If you would like a west coast referral for your purchase, I would be happy to be that person. We are new members, but long term disney people... I grew up at Disneyland! I'm also a big time planner. We have four trips in the planning at the moment, and I am happy to help others plan too.

We first looked at DVC on our honeymoon at WDW. We wish we would have bought then, but needed the past 5 years to learn and really make a decision. Do your homework... and buy when you are ready!

First, I love DISboards! I have learned so much and everyone is so informative and kind! I suppose that is the Disney way...

DH and I (well, mostly DH because I needed NO convincing) have nearly decided to join DVC.

I have a call in to our guide about use years, 2008 points, purchase incentives, financing, the banking\borrowing system and how adding points effect the "home resort".

BUT, I would love to have a referral so that DH knows that we are getting the best incentives that are available to us.

Does it truly not matter to Disney that a referral might just be some amazing, kind soul who agreed to give out some personal info to some starry-eyed Disney fanatic so that they can begin living out their dreams of frequent Disney travel???

Do I need to find someone who at lease lives close to me??

You can use any member you'd like -- they do not need to live close to you.

I'm always available to give a referal. I'm all for saving some money when I can so why shouldn't I help some one else out.

We love our DVC and recently added on at BLT so now we have 2 home resorts, Boardwalk and Bay Lake Towers! We have been members since 2000 but have been pseudo members thru my parents since 1992!

We received information about DVC. I told him that I could get a member referral. Dh and I are very interested in buying and realize that we will be good to buy next year. I am very excited about this. I do not want to be in a bind financially so waiting and making sure we pick the right location will be fun until I can purchase.

I would like to call on someone I can use next year as a referral. Who ever will let me use them as a reference, I will let you know when I purchase!!!

Important information - The Referral Incentive will be ending on August 25. I was up at Chicago's Doorway to Dreams this morning, and DVC Guide Derek gave us the news.

There are no plans for another Referral program at this time, but that is always a possibility down the road.

If you are thinking of purchasing and want to utilize the Referral Incentive, now would be the time.

As always, I am happy to offer myself and DH as a referral, and our DVC Guide as well.
